Is anyone else having their screen white out in Amarr on the Oris station? Cost me a WT....Just sayin. |

Happens from time to time to me too, not only there but most of the times you can fix it by zoming in |

Ah, thought it was only me having that white screen. I have it happen in missions at times, where it completely whites out. And the odd thing is, I can have multiple accounts running on the same monitor and so on, and only one of them will do it, while the others will be fine. |

It's caused by a glitched ship explosion. Generally moving the screen so that the explosion would be out of your view fixes it. In really bad cases you need to go into PI mode to reset the graphics, but I haven't had one that bad in a long time. |

Had it happen to me too, only in missions and as Johann Rascali said it happens when a ship explodes. My guess is the explosion itself glitches and the effect is about 1000x it's normal size and in effect completely filling the screen - giving the 'white out' affect. It eventually fades - which i suspect is the explosion fade out.
*edit*
I hind sight, the effect is usually only on happens on one full-half on my screen, not all of it and usually on the side the explosion occurs, ie. right side or left side only. will take a screen shot of it next time. |

Yep, about half dozen times, including one time where I looked around with the camera view and the whiteout was only in one part of space. But the other occasions it was just all whiteout. |

Yeah I've had that happen once too. Had to do with some camera movement or other I made, relative to the sun. Changing zoom angle/level "fixed" it. It's a royal PITA, especially for PvP since essentially you can't see your overview too well either, but it's probably a graphics specific problem that either will be fixed in a later patch if CCP finds it, or will be fixed by nVidia with their next driver cycle. I'm assuming we all have nVidia cards? If not then it's 100% CCP's problem. |

I had it happen in jita and amarr yesterday several times. oddly I have never seen it before. Perhaps its the fireworks? Or maybe the patch that happened on the 30th of December I had yellow, blue bronze and white screens. |

It is the fireworks effect causing this. When it happens and your screen is full of colour quickly zoom out using the mouse scroll wheel and you will see a very big firework effect stuck on the screen. |

I don't know if this is the same problem, I sometimes get the right half of my screen white. Exactly the right half. Usually it recovers after some while. It happened a few times in fights, it is bad for one's health... it's not amarr tho... |

I have the same problem I can have eve running on 3 screens and only one of the goes white but I do get an error pop up say the graphics driver did not respond ....
Only happens in EVE everything else is working as always......

Known periodic bug. I'm sure they are looking into the exact causes, but simply knowing it's a ship explosion still leaves them a lot of code to trace, and the problem may not be on CCP's side but somewhere in the actual graphical engine code or python's interactions with it. So a perfectly correct code on CCP's side could be still generating an error. Especially given how computers work and how many graphics cards they try to be compatible with. |
