the In-game question isnt really ''needed'' to answer cause i will find that out myself...eventually...but would help to know while i ask this...
How do you get you're Portrait on you're avatar?
Because Mine only has the black background and the ! There. I cheaked Settings, And Rules a bit, and diddnt find anything.
And the other question is... Manufacturing&research.
I dont get Manufacturing&researching. I also dont know how to process ore to a type of Bar or whatever you're assposed to do. and I dont know What you do excactly in reasearch. i know there are R&D Agents, but what is Researching the other way? like with blueprints, what you need, Etc.
That would help Alot

My portrait showed up a few days after I subscribed. I'm not sure whether it was just ~10 days to show up or if my subscription kicked it off.

Well, the avatar just takes time. Not any specific amount of time, just however long it takes the forum to update with the in-game picture. It seems almost random.
For processing ore, you need to be at a station that has the "recycling" icon up where the "market" and "fitting" icons are located. If the icon isn't there, you'll have to refine the ore somewhere else.
To refine it, you place it in your hanger (not your cargo hold), and you click that recycle button. You can then refine the ore into whatever materials the ore is refined into (sa Veldspar refines into Tritanium, etc).
You will need to have at least one rank of Refining to do so as well (I'm pretty sure).
Research I haven't messed with, but from what I understand, it's just a way of improving a blueprint so that it builds faster and/or takes less materials to make.

Oh my bad. i meant Tiritanium, etc, into the materials some things need. Like these wacky stuffs i saw On the market or something.

Your portrait should take between 4-7 days to show up on the forums now that t20 has fixed the problem with portrait rendering.

AHHHHH Ive had it!
WHY dose my EVE Lagg like... HUGELY! it takes 3 frigates just to make a pertty long ((8 seconds)) Or so skip in framerate. I have accually nearly died cause of this. These skips happen constantly. and this recent crash has driven me to the Edge!
I will tell you the little info you will need.
One-Only eve dose this.
Two-I was Fine for the first like 17 days, but ever since they FIXED the patch, ive lagged like Mad, and during the patch i was fine. Ironic, isnt it?
Three- Yet agien, Internet browsers, Etc, DO NOT LAGG OR SKIP ((They're how they allways were. skip for 0.5 seconds when they load huge stff))
Four- i DO NOT have alot of memory used. I have more than 70% or so memory in. i have a great Graphics card that got upgraded 2 months or so ago. even my old one could hold up EVE.
Any more info you need, just ask

Try closing the rookie channel and see if that helps your framerate skipping. It did for me.
p.s. the rookie channel seems to stop coming on every time you log on after you have been playing for 30 days.
