Hi,
i¦ve found a good moon i¦d like to mine.
There is only one small problem: there is a large caldari tower anchored there.
It¦s offline and i¦ve been watching things for few weeks, looks like it is left to rust out there.
If i aint mistaken, if i shoot it the owner will be notified.
So my question is:
How much firepower should i bring / How long would it take 2 Ravens to kill that tower?

Hmmm, generally 5-6 Dreadnaughts may do you just fine. For 2 ravens I would give you... a few days maybe? it's been a while since I last popped one.

Well, since the tower is offline (no shields) you should be able to take it out with a couple of BS's
(with a raven it would take you about 10000 torps to get through armor, and then some for structure... )

2 Ravens can't do it.
2 Ravens plus few Iteron Vs full of torpedoes + LOTS of free time might be able to.
Reasonable BS fleet (15-20 ships) plus few haulers full of ammo would have no issues, assuming the owner doesn't show up.

Or use a couple of geddons or apocs, no ammo needed :)
If you need to buy some get in contact I now a couple of people who can do you possibly a deal :)

Do some research on the corp who own it. If they are still playing perhaps contact them. Theres a good chance they have just abandoned it, and may be happy for you to blow it up. They may even come and unanchor it.

Even if a tower is offline you still have to go through the shields. It merely doesnt have a forcefield up and no benefit of defensive/offensive modules, or reinforced mode. Still have to go through all the hps of shield, armor, and structure.

What you need:
Apocs, armageddons, lasers, heavy drones, heat sinks, and a case of beer.
Just remember to start after DT, else you'll wake up to a login screen and your drones will be missing.
