Hello forum trolls and devs who may be watching,
My alliance and some friends not in alliance have recently been wardec'd by some insignificant group called Mentally Assured Destruction. So, they have never fought against people who could bite back since us, and we have discovered some quite broken features of CrimeWatch while annihilating their 100mn Tengus.
We bring a gang of 2x Scimis with some dps and ewar. We bring the fight to their system, and they come out with 3 neutral Guards. Now, we tell ourselves that these guards will will have suspect and not us, yay!
Strangely, our logi gained a suspect timer because they repped their corpmates, who were shooting at suspect guardians who were repping the war targets.
WTF? Why should our logi get suspect timer for repping corpmates that are shooting the neutral logi of WT? o.0 Although we didnt lose any logi from other neuts in local, it was weird to have gained suspect for no reason.
Also, for some reason, we can't ally ourselves to other wardec'd entities that are from the same alliance. Ex: 2 alliances dec'd by 1 group cant "ally" to not gain suspect when logi is there...
So, I was wondering if this was intended or if this is somewhat broken, because it seems to me that Corp logi should not gain suspect if corpmates start shooting at neutral logi repping WT... lawl
TL;DR
1. Friendly logi gaining suspect timer for repping corpmates that are shooting neutral logi that is repping WT is a stupid mechanic which encourages people not to use logi...?
2. Not being able to ally other wardec'd entities that are at war with the same group makes logi suspect when they are fighting a common enemy...
Can someone enlighten me to these strange mechanics?

At least you could shoot the nuet logi. When retribution came out and me and my old corpies went up against wt's the nuet logi didn't go suspect for repping the wt's. |

Sounds like business as usual; CCP never bothered to learn how combat/pvp actually works because all they do is ice mine and the CSM probably didn't have a clue either. |

This was brought up awhile back and has to do with the limited engagement timer on the ships not associated with the war targets.
When your corpmates fired on the 'suspect' logistics ships they gained a limited engagement timer, when your logi repped them it was flagged as assisting someone with a LE timer instead of recognizing you're in the same corp.
Either save the neutral ships for last if you can or have the logi ships engage the neutrals with drones before repping again... which can be difficult in the middle of a fight. If you're in highsec and repping only your corp, ensure they're set to green safety and it should just turn the reps off and give you a moment to recognize what's going on.
It's a silly mechanic but one we gotta live with until they fix it.
