After finally installing Eve HQ (v.2) I had to scrap my install, and install clean.
I've got TONS of fittings that I diligently backed up, but have no idea how to get to them.
Does ANYONE have any idea how to extract fittings from the old database? |

There should be a setting to select the old database |

I tried that initially, but the install was corrupt, so I searched this post from Rob Crowley

This is a known problem when updating to 2.13 from rather old versions, i.e. our settings converter is not infinitely backwards compatible. If you're ok with having a clean install without your old settings, just delete everything in %AppData%/EveHQ and install the newest version again.
So I deleted the folder to get install to work, but I can't find option to "select" the old fittings.bin file instead of the newer fittings.json
HOW do I get the wizard to pop up again and POINT my fittings database to the older one??? |

Might be worth looking for support from EveHQ themselves. Try here: http://forum.battleclinic.com/index.php/board,257.0.html
There is an old topic here: not sure if this is gonna help http://forum.battleclinic.com/index.php?topic=152573.0;Import-Fittings-from-old-EveHQ-file |

The old binary file format was phased out in 2.13, due to them being very intolerant of changes and hard to debug when there was an issue. There is no support in 2.13 to read the old formats instead of the new format, as there is a settings conversion utility that runs externally on startup if old format files are detected.
If you are using 2.11 (or older), you can use Rob's advice and do a clean install...but that is only if you want to delete everything. If you want to try and salvage the settings, fits, etc... you can try the information in the link below, update to 2.12 and then install 2.13 (which will update cleanly).
