After flying around looking at the new station looks right now I have to say they look beautiful! The Cladari ones suffer a little the same as their ships in that they can be a bit too dark in some systems due to the lighting but the level of detail in the windows and flashing lights is great. I love the new flames on the Factories they really are bad ass.
So I have one request/issue.
The CONCORD and Malkalen stations. Seeing as all the stations are getting some love now would be a great time to fix the annoying lore issue that after six years the Malkalen station is still on fire and CONCORD have made no attempt to fix their station.
The Malkalen one would look fine with its beaten up and broken model but finally having the fires out, if you really want to go all out add some scaffolding and welding sparks here and there to show that the station is now under some level of repairs. Lieutenant Turelus

Roids, debris, wrecks and all other LCO nonsense... wow, i wouldn't want to be tracking and remodeling all of that - there's tons of it... |

I'm interested in seeing how all of this is handled. Seeing as how we're getting a toggle for gas cloud assets, we can't be far off from seeing those archaic blobs receiving a face-lift. |

The fires may be out and station is now somewhat repaired. You still undock from the side, instead of the front. |

I have one question about the V3'd stations .. Will the Ishukone HQ in Malkalen that was rammed by FNS Wandering Saint during the "malkalen Incident" in YC110 get its "damaged look" in V3? (as it stands now its just a standard caldari station model which is a tiny bit sad)
It would be a shame to lose its old semi wrecked look as its part of the games history, and tbh it looked rather great with debris and that big hole in the side |

hiya!
Can i make a suggestion that the text colour in ship descriptions are difficult to read at the moment, especially with my aging eyes.
The % is highlighted and so is the perk (ie, missile damage per lvl), but what the damage type actually is becomes hard to read as it is so contrasted to the colour of the highlighted text.
Maybe brighten the darker text somewhat, or decreas the amount of highlighting?
I logged a ticket via Sisi but its gone unanswered, hence post here. |

are you kidding me? no one rebalance in a patch is totally fail. really, New mobile structures may be interesting, but only as a string in great patchnotes. this patch makes nothing for the game! do you need a list, what people wanted? everything needs your care: wh, pirate ships, null sec, everything except mobile deployable structures.
I think statue in Amarr is waiting for me. and real life too) |

Just posting to say I absolutely LOVE the new capital wrecks! Like, seriously, when I self destructed a Fenrir just to see the wreck I was kind of speechless for 15 minutes, just admiring the sheer beauty and details that has gone into it. Saw a few more as well and same there, wow. +1
Now if only you'd do the same with all sub cap wrecks as well ;) |

Ok, tried the Nestor for a bit: I'm trying not to factor in the likely 1.5 bil isk cost and just look at its merits.
* Visually, it's very sterile. It's hard to put my finger on exactly why, but the stratios has a much 'lumpier' look while the Nestor is just too clean. Not sure if this would get fixed by release but thought I'd mention it anyway.
* For a ship with large lasers and a remote repair bonus, the capacitor is... lacking. A lot. It's pretty significant, even if the stats aren't far off an Abaddon. Even though some of its role bonuses seem a bit haphazard, it would be good for it to be able to pull of its primary mission - shooting lasers and remote repairing without having to rely on cap boosters, because it's supposed to operate without ammunition in deep space
* Active tanking suffers a lot from the capacitor issue, and buffering it slows it below 100m/s, bringing the mwd speed to a little over 800m/s. Built for armour not speed obviously, but either option leaves it feeling underwhelming.
* She's agile, even when plated, and that's the best thing I can say about this ship.
It's an armoured Rattlesnake with lasers, remote reps and some inexplicable exploration bonuses.
I think most of the hate directed at the design has come from the fact the general 'theme' of its smaller cousins having the 'warp while cloaked' ability, so deviating from that makes it feel like the odd man out. I still think covert ops cloak would work if you nerfed the damage output considerably, because I don't see people using this in dangerous space to do exploration (dangerous space = EvE online).
tl;dr : More cap, rethink role bonuses. X |

Mobile Scan Inhibitor's glow effect is a little dissapointing; it's of a similar kind as the ship effects, being rendered independent of the camera angle.
Spin the camera on the inhibitor while it's active and well... dissapointed.
(dear art: i'd like to see proper 3d effects for sensor boosters/warp disruptors and so on as well :)) |
