And that's the real tragedy. It doesn't make it right that they die, the truth is that a country's leaders do have a responsibility to take into account the safety of their own people. My personal belief as a Briton is that the actions of Blair and Bush over the last two years have not made the civilians of the US and UK any safer. The US government is evil you claim because it killed 5000 civilian in Afghanistan and a little less in Iraq right? What about the estimate 1 million dead under the non democratic regime in Iraq? What about the hundreds of thousands in Afghanistan from the clan infighting and other non elected regimes that are not accountable to its people. Unfortunately, the world is not perfect and you got to put things into relative prespective. Who defeated the Soviet Union economically? An empire that has killed close to 100 million people? Who liberated Europe and stopped a regime that has the largest genocide record after the USSR and China? If you American be proud, if your a friend of an American, tell em your proud of their nation. Because regardless of the relativity minor flaws the government may have, it has been the greatest protector of human life for the past 100 years.

FACT: Every country has a history of bloodshed. "Usually" the more powerful and large, the more despicable the acts committed in its name. FACT: When you talk about the US in an international setting you will have dissent, ALWAYS. Because want it or not, the actions that the US Government takes affect us ALL, no matter where you live, and because its easy to associate US citizens with our Government, since we have the power to put them in office, we will be targeted in the government's place. And lastly, if you survived this far...
