This thread wasn't about goonfleet or the tactics we use. Anyone implying that is does really has no idea what we are about or what we do. Getting killed doesn't matter to us, we are out to have fun first and foremost. To say this thread was posted as a whine because we can't find a way for T1 frigates to beat sniping BS is so patently stupid I'm surprised anyone would post it.

My opinion, like others in this thread, is that there is no viable counter to sniping BS at extereme range. I don't pretend to know what could be suggested or done to fix the problem as I see it. Goonfleet in particular doesn't care if anyone brings a group sniping BS, 100 HACs, or a newbie frigate and slaughter half of our gang. However there is a difference between "They were prepared for that situation and we were not." and "Sniping BS and T2 ammo, nothing we can do."

I've read this entire thread and I did not see any real counter suggested, just a lot of idiotic posts from a few people and a lot of whining about things getting nerfed. A sad reflection on the eve community imho. A few people have actually attempted a real discussion, but they have been forced to respond to the unending trolls.

The original poster of this thread is in fact a carrier pilot, which makes all the "lol t1 frig u suk" trolling even more comical (We really do mean it when we say Goonfleet isn't all newbies in frigs). Carriers don't work against sniping BS's for the reasons he details in the first post -- because they can insta to a gate and jump out, etc. I think there may also be a bug that lets people 'ditch' fighters, as well, though I'm not entirely certain there.

A sniper fleet should be terrified of goonfleet. The fact they theres so many goonfleet posting here is a testament to the poor quality of the PLAYERS not thier skill points.

First off, you know nothing about goonfleet. A number of GoonFleet pilots DO remember the days when a torpedo would do full damage to a frigate. Comments like this just prove how totally clueless most of you are about GoonFleet. Our pilots have fought along side established PVP alliances, and many of their pilots complemented us on how well we play the game and even flown under the leadership of GoonFleet members.

Second off, its not about what ship you fly against sniping battleship. NONE OF THEM ARE EFFECTIVE OTHER THEN ANOTHER SNIPING BATTLESHIP. T1 Frigate? Nope. T1 Cruiser? Nope. T1 Battlecruiser? Nope. T1 Battleship? Nope. Interceptors? Nope. Assault Frigates? Nope. Covert Ops Frigates? Nope. Heavy Assault Cruisers? Nope. Carriers? Nope. Dreadnaughts? Nope. Any combination of the above? Nope. Maybe Titans will counter them? Perhaps a Mothership?

The fact is, there is no way to counter them. As I've said before, the one and only way to counter them is if they aren't a competent sniper and make mistakes that are easilly avoidable such as warping to locations that are inline with objects or reusing the same warpin points or staying in the same location more then a minute. If a sniper doesnt make those easy to avoid mistakes, then theres simply no way you can kill them.
