we have been a new corp going 5 weeks and already come through one war. i recieved an eve mail from empire mafia last night from cain bloodlust. the reason im showing you this is im considering giving eve up , a game i really enjoy and have put a lot of effort into but because of greifers and the gm's ingame do nothing to prevent this even when tickets are put in. We are winding up the Gallentian mafia and im sad, and looking for a new home for my members, probably 12 - 15 members that may stick together as freinds. I have found no other option as we cannot win a war as newbies against 30 pvpers, will not change our name as proposed and will not turn pirate.
if any nutral guilds in gallente space would like to take us under their wing could they pls mail me or leave post here please.

It has come to our attention that, while you call yourselves the "Gallentean Mafia", you engage in activities such as mining, and trading.
This is a wholesale insult to the moniker "Mafia". In order to avoid an immedate declaration of war, you must choose to do one of the
following:
1) Change your corporation name to the "Warm Fuzzy Funship Circle". This involves leaving your corporation, creating a new one, and
moving all of your members and your assets over to the new corporation. This must be finished by the 23:59 Sunday, eve time
2) Cease all mining and trading activities. Begin terrorizing your neighbors, by destroying all mining operations and haulers. The
security status of each member of your corporation online for the weekend must be lower than -2.0 by 23:59 Sunday, eve time.

My plan for you would be this.
Leave an alt in your current corp and all your members join an experinced well organised corp and stay there for a few months.
During this time garner as much PVP experince, knowledge and ISK as you can from the veteran members of said experinced corp.
Then when you feel ready return back to your old corp and tell the bastards to bring it.
In this game you have to stand your ground and fight those who would try to bully you into submission.
Don't let them win!

Yes, as stated we are looking for a corp that will take all of us who wish to stick together after we disband (10 to 15 players, with a few months experience).

Hmmmm, Well I am a sick puppy and to be honest find their demands rather humerous. However becuase this post has given me much amusement I just might know a few alts up for a war dec, no gank like an empire gank an all. So drop me a mail with the info on these guys (corp, frequented systems) and well see how much they like pvp :) |

Unfortunately we're not in Gallente space BUT are in Minmatar Space. (if this location isnt a problem with you)
We would GLADLY take you 'under our wing' AND teach you a thing or two on how to deal with situations like this.

Seems like a perfectly good reason for a wardec to me. You should be grateful they decided to give you not one, but 2!!! options to get out of this. And neither of these options requires you to pay them anything.
Besides, what were you thinking calling a mining corp the gallentean maffia?!?

Hire some mercs, or build lots of tech I frigs and go have fun and learn some pvp.
Eve shouldnt be about sticking to one type of play style and never trying anything else.

We should think of such funny reasons as well when we wardec someone . We just wardecced a few alliances for....uhm...can't remember the reason 
Anyway this letter demonstrates that they are NOT "griefers". They have given you two valid options. I would opt for the 2nd obviously.
But there is a 3rd option. Hop into t1 frigs/cruisers and go fight with them. Unless you have expensive implants this will be a lot of fun (trust me) and you'll learn a thing or two about PvP.

You gotta love Cain Bloodlust. I actually agree with this wardec. You guys shouldn't really have a name like that if you aren't willing to live up to it.
Also, switching corps is lame. You could at least do as a previous poster said and T1 frig the war. You would be surprised how much mayhem some cheap frigs can cause....

Thanx for all ur help and offers we have had over the last few days, we have now found a new home. As for our name, our previous ceo created it and ****ed off after 3 days leavin us noobs to fend for ourselves, i still think what the mafia did was wrong and an appalling excuse to war dec some new guys.
still you live and learn as of tonight we are no more, we have learnt some lesssons and will move on.

I killed these guys once. got a local hull in the loot. oh yeah, and they were mining.

Meaning #1: (informal) any tightly knit group of trusted associates

Now mafia might be associated w/ crime etc, but that does not mean that it is necessary.
