The person who mentioned an auction for it at FF has a point tho.. Im sure someone would be interested in buying it (like a surprise present for once better half as an example  ).
But then again, if this is your first EVE painting i would think it would be hard to sell it, but talk to CCP and im sure they would like it if you would make one based on each race that they can auction off or give away as prices in random FF events.

I planed another 5 EVE paintings to the next few months... And like you said... I want to do one painting for each main Faction and 2 bonus painting. That was my first idea! This picture was a test basicaly for acrylic ink.

Looks very nice. Is it acrylic on canvas board or stretched canvas? I cannot really tell from the image. I used to work with oil paints a long time ago, but I wasn't very good. |

Its on canvas board! I do the next painting with oil and acrylic... because Acrylic is drying too fast.

Great work....I know if I saw this hanging in a gallery I would snatch it up, even if I had no idea it was eve related, as I am a huge fan of sci-fi art in general |

Hell! I am not sure if you are familiar with the publication, but you could probably get original stuff published on Heavy Metal Magazine covers. It would be a massive long shot, but I would work towards that. You have talent en masse.
Link to their artists page so you can get a feel. But if you have ever heard of Frank Frazetta, The Borthers Hildebrandt or Boris Vallejo you will have a decent idea of the kind of stuff the magazine publishes.
The following is from their submissions page. There are fitting specs listed in the page as well

Very nice and all seems to be in proportion. I couldn't paint if my pod depended on it...if painting for pods saving instead of singing was a thing you would get away scott free every time.

Not to be a party pooper (your painting is great, btw!), I don't think you should try selling it. Reason being, they might take legal action against you - altough CCP are pretty chill guys, you are still "profiting" (even if you sell them at cost) from their intellectual property, namely the ship designs. There was not long ago someone who 3D printed EVE ship models and was considering selling them, not sure what happened to that guy - but I believe he was allowed to print them for his own amusement but not sell them, even at cost.
If someone who has better memory than me feel free to correct me. |
