So today, I tried to get online and noticed there was a patch. I go on my launcher to do this patch but the Launcher completely crashes on start up. No patching messages, it just shows up and completely crashes; my mac says the launcher is not responding and therefore I need to force quit it.
I've tried multiple to start up the launcher and still it keeps crashing, bypassing the launcher just means I can't patch therefore I can't play at all
This issue seems similar to this current issue https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=285918&find=unread However the major difference is I can't even start up the launcher, therefore I made a different thread.
I've put through a petition and I'm going to try reinstalling. I'll keep updated here, please respond if you have the issue and can fix it. All I want to do is just get online. |

I ran the EVE Repair tool and now I can launch EVE! (Bypassing the launcher) (I use EVE Clones anyway)
But the launcher is still broken for me however I managed to patch the client using the EVE Repair. |

I had just the same Problem as Call Rollard with my launcher but the trick with clearing the cache worked for me aswell, but sadly that didn't solve my Problem. Today after downloading the patch I wanted to logg in, but after I enter my informations and klick "login" in the laucher I see the usual massages at the other loading screen, but just before I could choose one of my 3 characters my screen goes Black and can't do anything. I hear the music but can't do anything... Did/does someone have Problems like this? I ran the repair tool, but it didn't do anything.
I play on a mac and the game worked until now, didn't change any settings so im kind of confused... |

I am having the same problem. After the loading bar finishes the screen stays black instead of the character selection screen showing up. I can still see the cursor and move it around and it even sounds like I'm mousing over the character selection boxes but the screen is black. |

I'm in the same boat. I cleared the cache manually, deleted old patches, etc..
I can't afford to re-download the whole Eve install, as I am on a limited connection (it would take the better part of a day..)
I hope there is an update tomorrow to resolve this, or at least some acknowledgement from CCP that they know of the issue. |

Same issue here. It looks like the active user numbers have been down since the new patch. I don't think too many mac users can log in right now. I'm trying to find a PC to use so I can keep training. I'm hoping they'll allot us some SP to make up for idle training queues. I opened a service ticket for it, hopefully I'll get some sort of response. |

I just tried some other workaround a in this forum, but instill get a black screen instead of my character selection. Frustrating! |

Yes, you can delete all the content of the cache folder, including subfolders. |

I'm trying to launch/play and when I do the eve online mac client app simply launches another instance of the app - I've cleared the cache - where do I find 'the eve repair tool'? And doe stat do the trick. AS mentioned already It's annoying not being able to log in having paid! |

I'm unsure if it's the same issue you are experiencing to what I had last month, I should really say my problem is an old problem.

I had the same problem today after patching. Had no real problems last week. Patched today through launcher, same symptoms as Tarek Hakaari had logging in. |

I've traded the black screen of death to simply locking up on the character screen (after an hour, **** it! I'm giving up). The few times I've managed to login since the last patch, has taken an average of 8-10 login attempts.
If I can't login, I can't buy a plex to keep my acct. from running out. So forget any threats of quitting EVE, CCP is apparently booting me out, but hey! How bout that new SoE BS???

sorted the issue on my macbook pro - lowered the screen resolution and now it works fine. Amusingly the support ticket is still lost in space.
Now all I have to do it start again from the very beginning.
If anyone else is into exploration or mining one day I'll be averagly rubbish instead of simply totally incompetent I could do with finding a few buddies once I start getting out Hypersleep for 3 years 6 months. Where am I? |

I have been having this same issue. Clean install multiple times and it says it is corrupt. The only way I have been able to actually get it to work is opening a terminal, and running the launcher file from Applications/EVE Online/Contents/MacOS/ and then it works totally fine. Still having the same f***ing issue here and now really hacked off!! Removed Eve completely from my MacBook Pro, re-installed it, tried to run - spinning multi-color ball of Steve Jobs Doom saying 'Eve Online Not Responding'...
Run the Eve Online Repair Tool - This tells me it has repaired the client/launcher but of course this is bollocks. STILL not running. Have sent two petitions in, had some nice friendly responses but fundementally, EVE is NOT working. CCP, get your finger out and sort it fer chrissakes!!!!!!!!
Absolutely pissed right off. This is down to CCP messing with the design again and this time, getting it badly wrong, really badly wrong. How many more times is this going to happen? I calculate that CCP must owe me thousands of SP's missed out on by not n=being able to run the game, let alone what it costs me in paid for game time that I am not getting to use!!!! |

My launcher became corrupted yesterday and I have not been able to fix it.
I have deleted my cache files.
I have used the repair tool.
It seems the only thing left for me to do is to download the game again and launch it from scratch.
Very frustrating, CCP, to have to work so damn hard just to have fun. |
