I've come to that point where it is time to make a final decision with what weapons to aim for.
I like drones, they're fun. I like lasers, but not as much as drones. Amarr are obviously not the best match for drone usage. I have gallente ship skills.
Now which ships will I have more fun in? There are like...2 setups for an Apoc or Arma...long range and short range. And as far as I know it's the same for the Domi and Mega. But I just need to figure out which one I want to specialize in. The idea of drones is fun (commanding things) rather than setting orbit and getting in range. I'd love to fly a carrier, and if I could use on in empire I would...even though that seems a bit overkill and a waste of a carrier. So if I want to command a lot of drones should I just switch to gallente ships or do you think it's more worthwhile to stick with the lasers and limited drone usage?
Looking for opinions...since that's pretty much all I'll be able to get from this =P

Domi and Ishtar have an extreamly wide variation of setups, as the mids can be used for ecm while the highs can be fitted for nos or damage ( range or close), so imho you should go down the Gall route.

im flying ravens atm but have 8 mill in gunnery mostly in laser related stuff i started out flying amarr ships but trained up for caldari when implants came mainly for there usefullness in missions.
ive gone back to the apoc a couple of times but i dont like there lack of versitily.
im quite happy with both the raven and apoc setups i have so ive been looking at training up to use a domi.
i'll have the skills to armor or shield tank and im not far off t2 hvy drones.
haveing looked at the carriers ive decided the gall one is best thanks to its drone dmg bonus, the carriers will be stand off weapons kept away from front lines so i feel some of the other carrier bonuses are less usefull.

Could always find a ship like the Arbitrator/Pilgrim/Curse, a laser and drone boat! Im sure there are others somewhere.
