However, I've concluded that there are a lot of reasons not to join. I'll list some of those: The proclaimed leader, Gevlon Goblin, happily stays within a NPC corp and expects everybody else to do his work for him. That is silly, and I might even say, pathetic. I'm sorry, but 'paying the bills' is not something that can flock people in. Any alliance that's worth it's salt in EVE has leaders that actually lead from the lines. Anybody can pay the bills, it's not something extraordinary. I do not see why would and should fight for somebody like Gevlon just to prove his point to the world that he is winning at EVE online. (And clearly, after checking up his blog, I have to say he isn't as he has yet to impact the meta of EVE in any way, shape, or form which led me to conclude that if I'd have joined, I'd have wasted my time.) Even with the failures above ignored, Gevlon has no clear goals. His goals seem to be changing as he fails to achieve them. Gevlon has not even met a single objective he put forward and he is unlikely to do so as his opponents have bigger numbers, vast resources and superb organization. Lack of clarity when it comes to objectives and the apparent necessity to fight for some guy's over-inflated ego and overrated sense of self-importance failed to win me. *Gevlon seems to me as delusional, as it sounds like he really believes that he is making a dent on his opponents on the financial side. After checking up with the public mirrors of Goon wiki and such, I can say with confidence that no empire loss of any CFC alliance member has a true impact on the financial state of CFC. Moreover, CFC members I've talked to indicated that empire losses are hardly a concern for them as no reimbursement program covers those (except for certain squads that fight within the empire which I'm told Gevlon never managed to fight so far) and compared with the metrics of the average line member's income generation, such losses would barely make a dent on individual income as well. As such, this organization has failed to win me over and I'll call it as what it is: This is an organization that has not made any significant damage on it's opponents and will not do so as Gevlon Goblin appears incapable of analyzing relevant and accurate data and therefore instead, he just mashes up random, inaccurate and unrelated data sets to convince others that he makes sense. He doesn't, and In the light of the absence of any achieved organizational goals, this will remain to be the case.
