I started playing EVE like a month ago and I expected much more then what I saw. At first this game looked like some crap where people waste thier lives trying to make fake cash...either by mining or camping at gates. I almost gave up on EVE till ore theives came around...now the action begins.
Ore theives **** people off...and finally, FINALLY people begin to break off from thier repetitive jobs of sitting on thier asses and actually go out to fight! Look whats happening...anti ore thief corps, ore thief corps. So much stuff happening just cuz you miners needed a more efficient way to collect ore...how many boring hours of mining did you have to sit thru to think up this crap? Oh look! Cargo containers hold more ore than my ship! I myself would have never noticed because I don't have the time to think so intently about mining... Anyways...got me off on a rant...but my point is..Ore theives actually made this game so it has a little action in it so kudos to all of ya!

Edited by: Klydor on 10/09/2003 17:05:48 those anti ore thief corps will have a hard time doing anything about it though, as most ore thiefs are in n00b corps and under concord protection.
Not that I care, they don't bother me :)
Perhaps your arguement would have been better placed in one of the many existing ore thief topics that are all on page 1?

When it comes down to it, they aren't thieves in the first place due to the given policy.

Incorrect. Just beacuse the policy "allows" them to steal doesn't mean they're not thieves. =)

Me > Your Ore.
*Runs in terror*
Seriously though, I hold the Ore to ransom (Unless, for some strange reason, they have Megacyte in it. Yummy!) and blow it to hell if they don't pay up.
But I run like hell when their back-up arrives.

I usually just take it, more profitable. When I'm in a hurry I also blow it up.
This is not a hijack

Well, I use Frigates exclusively...and they don't have the biggest Cargo holds out there.
I find that "charging" around fifty to one-hundred thousand ISK, works out better for both myself and the target.
The target, most likely, will be earning far more than what I demand and there's no way in hell I could escape with enough to make the "hit" worthwhile.
