Hello. After getting too bored with my main I have decided to leave it for high sec boring stuff (semiafk mining, tradin) and create a a low sec character, I don't want this character to be funded by my main. I want him to rat, maybe to trade with tags, whatever as long as it stays undocked in low sec most of the time. I need a fitting and ship that allows me to rat and and learn to survive in low second amarr, probably aridia, then my plan is moved him to bleak lands to join the FW and learn to pvp. I don't care about kill mails I want him to survive as long as posible, it would be nice if he could have a chance to disengage fighs that are way too unfair. But I don't want sad warpcore stabs!!! My goal with this character is to improve my solar system awareness, scanner skills, force me to learn about enemy ships and learn low scale pvp. Hopefully someday I will pilot a vengeance to use it properly (not to give someone a nice killmail)

Anything with ranged damage and cloak/mwd. And thus it depends on which faction space you're in because of the damage types. You could go short orbit frigate but that generally means having to be in the center of the belt which can cause trouble if someone warps in on you.
HML Caracal, artie Rupture, Omen/Arbitrator or Vexor. |

Well, with a week old and self suatainable character I am thinking more of a frigate suitable to deal with typical rats in amarr low sec . The purifier would have been a good idea before it was reconverted into a minilogistic ship. I wonder how the kestrel would work. I expect to have pvp fun with this character soon with a executioner, condor, tormentor or whatever. For a couple of weeks I would like to just test the waters of low. |

Yeah, a kestrel would work and can train nicely into a Hawk, which is the best ship in the game iirc. Oh god. |

If you want to deal in clone tags you'll need a bit more punch than a frig. Even the vengeance doesn't quit have enough punch to do away with them in a timely manner (the enyo will chew them down nicely though). I recommend a destroyer. Cheap, fast, hard hitting & easily done in a pvp fit as you won't have much of a tank anyway. |

Pulse laser punisher with nos, small buffer and repper.
Might as well put a scram in the mids with your ab, you know, just in case :) |

The clone rats have the same resist profile as the rest of the rats in the area. Over placid way, an enyo works AWESOME. Right damage/resist profile for those clone rats. T2 frig or T1 active rep cruiser is the minimum for those clone tag rats. -Scissors is overpowered, rock is fine. -Paper |

I've done it in pvp fits in the catalyst & talwar. Enyo was great, blaster harpy was acceptable, vengeance coulda tanked them all day but didn't have enough dps. Lost a Tristan. The incursus did the job but takes too long. Believe it or not I've taken a few in a hero tanked atron (read: nerf the atron). Cruisers, obviously do the job better. Vexor, thorax etc.
Edit: don't ****-íng touch my atron! |

Join RvB until you have 1-2 mil SP. Then do FW. You will learn combat basics against other noobs and be better placed to survive low without becoming too discouraged. Use kiting ships until your dps is adequate for brawling. Zappity's Adventures for a taste of lowsec. |
