Following a character creation guide for a fighter and after finishing training learning skills my stats look like this.
21 Per 17 Int 15 WP 9 MEM 6 Cha
I just noticed that drones need high memory to train, which was a bummer because I had actually wanted to specialize in Drones with a vexor... but anyways, my question
With such low memory is it even worth it to train in basic drone skills at all now? I'm planning to use a thorax then later a megathron. I Also mainly do Kill missions but plan to later pvp of course when i have the sp.
Anyone else with low Charisma use drones? Are drones a must have for every fighter?

For Gallante ships they are a very very powerful weapon. You can raise your Memory stat by training up your Instant Recall and Eiditic Memory skills, also you can add an implant to help raise it even higher. So assuming you're at Level 5 Instant Recall you can train up to 12 Memory in just over a day if you pick up Eiditic Memory.
Remember too, low attributes won't stop you from getting the skills, just add a few days training to them (longer for level 5 skills perhaps, but to get to decent skills it shouldn't take too much longer.) -- Lil Miner |

also Memory is a fairly important factor in the time it takes to learn the learning skills so you'll be doing yourself a favor to raise it. Even if it's just a couple of points it can take several days off of some of the longer skill training times. --- The Amish are coming! The Amish are coming! |

Yeah. Don't use character generation guides because they're drawn up by people who think perception is everything.

It seems as if you didn't train your memory learning skill... it could not possibly be that low with learning skills trained!

Drones are great if you are flying in a Gal ship. I'm not sure why a new Caldari player would fly a Gal ship, but that is a personal choice.

Because drones are a lot of fun (plus need no cap or high slots), and missiles aren't practical in deep 0.0

For looks mostly, I Liked the Gal ship designs more then the caldari ones. Plus, after using a kestrel for a while I've grown bored with using only missiles.
Right now I have Instant Recall at (4) so I think I'll just train that to (5) and eidetic Memory to (3)then buy a memory implant raising my memory to about 15.
Thanks for the advice.
