And what is the Point now of having a high Concord Standing? If u cant do anything for them...... Is there something in Work?
Hel Kali	Posted - 2006.03.23 12:46:00 - [6] when you reach 9.90 , it take ages to go to 10.0, I get 0.01 each 7-8 lvl4 missions, then for the factions standing ... if you got a storyline every 16 missions 16 x 8 + 16 = 144 so after 144 missions you get 0.01 :p am i right ? --------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.linutx.be

Alfofol	Posted - 2006.03.23 15:40:00 - [8] I don't think you can ever get 10.0 in standing, since it goes asymptotic to 10. When you a faction boost from a successfull mission, the percentage you get is of the difference between your present faction and 10.0. So the boost gets smaller the closer you are to 10. So if you have a faction of 1.0 and get a 3% reward, you actually get (10 - 1) x 0.03 = 0.27 gain. But when you have a standing of 9 the same 3% reward gives you (10 - 9) x 0.03 = 0.03 gain. I have no absolute proof that it works this way, but read it on this message board in the past and it seems true from my own sparse comparison. That being said, I don't think anything special happens when you have maxed out your standing.

But I hear Kali promises a lot of changes: When you get to +10 standing with a corporation, their agents all get a memo informing them who you are, and, as very close and valued friend to the corporation, you get offered an office with a window as well as a symbolic job/title within the corporation (something like "Strategic Warrior Consultant" or "Sales Executive Overseer", "Miner Extraordinaire" ... you get the point). Of course, everywhere you dock in their stations you can use the services for free (even repairing!) and you are exempt from all taxes from said corporation. In the case of +10 standing with the FACTION (i.e. Caldari), things are even better than with a corporation. All agents, from all corporations and all levels and qualities will start literally bombarding you with eve-mails with various requests for help, requests for your presence at various ceremonies, requests for assisting at their marketing/defense/offense/production/sales/etc. meetings (depending on the agent's department, of course), offers from all loyalty points ranges, several gifts, neatly wrapped in plastic, will be "anonymously" dropped in your hangar (OK, usually they come with a note inside, so that if you accept the gift and unwrap it, you can read it. It's usually another request for help, but with the gift as an incentive to help them). I heard rumours of having a dev blog dedicated to you as well, but I think they're just that: rumours. So... slow down, let Kali come and reap the benefits then :) ---------- Please fix the scan probes!!!

AFAIK there are 3 cosmos agents for each faction, giving a faction Frigate, Cruiser and Battleship BPC (different standing required for each). You just need to go talk to the agent and you get your BPC. The Faction BS BPC is worth 500+ mil, and the built ship around 1 billion. Its faction standing though, not corp standing. With corp, you could get the same BPC if you accumulate enough loyalty points i think.

A literal standing of +10 is not possible (the standings system is asymptotic, and +10 is the unreachable point). A standing that shows up as +10.0 is entirely possible, your true standing just needs to be +9.99500000 or higher. The difference is that those 2-run Navy battleship bpc's DO exist. The BPC reward is just a mission, get the required standing (9.8 for a bs bpc), the mission becomes avaliable, take the mission and it dissapears forever, regardless of faction standing. BTW I have been reading that these bpcs have been changed to 1 run copies.

So just to clear that up, for the cosmos missions you need a specific standing with the faction to get a BPC? If so does anyone know what exact standing one needs to get one of the mentioned bpc¦s? greets
