This games eems a bit misleading...all the talk about charactor advancment...you never even get to come out of your ship and explore some of the worlds....that bites its bogus and misleading...so my questions is....does this game get any better...at all????

I'm still waiting for new stuff. I think the next big thing is user created stations and now we know sometimes mobile refineries, assembly platforms, docking platforms for empty ships, shielded areas and sentry guns.
PLus, all the recent news about the children, missing emperor is leading to something. Probably a war, so this will change where you can go in empire space and hopefully create more oppurtunities for fighting.
Check out the Dev Blog for news of stuff to come. It just got updated today and they have a link to a flash animation showing what is to come from player plateforms like I mentioned above.
Also, everyone says joining a corp is where it's at. I'm going to wait a while and stay solo, unless I meet up with a small corp of 10 with a bunch of cool guys. That way you don't feel like a miner drone.

I am waiting for a storyline to kick off and thats what's keeping me hooked I have absolutely no interest in mining I like exploring and flying around. I'm hoping to get involved somewhere with a story.
But stick with it looks like things are moving.

I have found that you need to find your place in Eve.
Some like mining, some trading, some role -playing.
Me I like fighting 
I think the point of Eve is that its open...
If you want some fun, get yourself a fast frigate, find a nice blockade and run it...

This is a quote from the home page.
Where does it say your going to be strolling around on a planet? It says your a space ship captain cruising around the universe. What's misleading about that? As far as advancment my charactor has advanced thorugh learning skills.
If your looking for a game where you can get out of your ship and walk around try earth and beyond.
In regards to your actual question. This game gets as good as you want to make it.
Actually I have the heart of an Exploiter and a PKer---I keep them on my desk in a jar. |

Damn skippy HP... You are totally right. If you need some ideas feel free to ask... This game is unlike any i've ever played. It's pretty complex but not so that you can't figure it out.

I dont rememberd anything about exit your ship or walk on planets when i read on the box or any info on the web.
So how can this be misleading?
