Hello and thank you for taking a look at Shadow of the Hegemon.
Hopefully you like walls of text, because I am fairly sure this will become one in short order. =-)~
We are a small group at the moment, looking for Individuals and Corporations to join us. I wonGÇÖt go into long term plans here as those are best left off public forums such as they are. As for the short term however I am hoping I can find some people with similar goals.
What I would like to see happen as we go along is the development of organized Missioning and Mining operations being used to build ships with which to go shoot people. To be more specific, I am hoping to bring together a crew who Mission and Mine two days a week in a large fleet. All of us who can run level 4 missions providing places for younger members, and even those in smaller vessels a bunch of things to go shoot at. Taxes at this time would be put at 0% to maximize everyones bounty payments. However the Noctis following behind your sqad would be collecting salvage and modules for Alliance use. Collecting the Meta 4 items and other lower meta modules who serve purposes to fit ships properly. Reprocessing the items which otherwise serve no purpose to supplement the higher end minerals needed for building ships. And the salvage in order to build rigs for the PVP ships we are doing this to build.
To make this Missioning able to provide PVP ships we intend to use mining fleets as well. The alliance would be providing OrcaGÇÖs with Skiffs and/or Procurors for members to mine in. (as an Orca can hold 4 in its ship hanger) And members show up to kick rocks in groups of four each with a specific rock in each belt we can fill up with miners. Only one orca is needed per system to boost. While all the Orcas would be there to hold the frigates and destroyers you brought to the belt for the mining op. (these would be response vehicles for those who like to shoot at miners.) Splitting the proceeds at the end of the operation so that 60% of the ISK or minerals (your choice) get split between the pilots who participated. While the remaining 40% goes to the creation of PVP ships.
Where I am going with this is we use the collective Missioning and Mining operations to build ships for weekly PVP. Thinking of Saturday roams here being provided by a collective effort a couple days a week where we all get together on Teamspeak and make a noisy room to help make the time kicking rocks or cycling your guns go by quickly. Everyone making money while getting to know each other, figuring out personalities and whatnot. Then we get to go out and shoot people with the Frigates Cruisers and Battlecruisers (with command links no less) we built. And they wonGÇÖt cost us anything! woohoo \o/
While I know this sounds a lofty goal, I have seen it work in the past. Let me know if any of this interests you.
