Well today my lovely npcing ishkur dissapeared from my safespot in a dead end -1.0 system.
Guess it was somebodies VERY lucky day and a really bad day for me. I learned a 100m+ tough lesson about safespots....that they aren't safe at all.
Why 100m+?
Well:
High: 3x t2 neutrons
Med: ab, named cap recharger, Gistii-A type Small SB (ouch  )
Low; 3x t2 magstab
Well whoever you were congrats on your lucky find. It sure made my day  .

storing ships in space is well... a bad idea. even if you're way off grid. just a patently bad idea.
In short: Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.

Yes at least those who bother to read it won't make the same big mistake as myself.
Never ever leave an expensive ship at an SS even if it's in deep 0.0 dead-end system.
And yes i have to went my frustration out somewhere ...it's not like a 100m AF gets lifted from you everyday

I'm just too paranoid to leave an expensive ship at a safespot. Locate my safespot and you'll find a non-named T1 fitted indy and a can with a modest amount of ammo. All mods get returned to the station before logging and the combat ship NEVER stays at the safespot for more than a few minutes.
Pays to always log in a REAL safe location with an expensive ship.

why would you leave a ship in space at all, dont you disapear when you log out? or is this for people who have a safe spot, and leave stuff there as a mini station?

I am curious as to why you would use an indy as your ammo dump, why not just use the secure container?
I've heard of this being done by others and wasnt sure if there are benefits to doing that...

Well a very expensive lesson to be learned there, scan probes work really well let that be known

its hard to get secure cans 60 jumps into 0.0 where you can make indy's on site and an industrial can hold more and when you need to refil it with ammo you only have to make 1 trip to a station.
While they were saying among themselves it cannot be done, it was done |

I never really understood people that put on unbelievably expensive mods on small ships. Small ships die alot. Realize it and embrace it. If the ship is too expensive for you to lose, you shouldnt be flying it.

I quite agree for once.
However, I have no qualms fitting my Megathron with Faction/TII stuff. Saves on fittings and often is better than TII.
Where faction isn't better, TII takes the place.
And TII guns are most certainly better than TI.
