I go vexor over thorax for the following reason:
Cargo capacity. With a full loadout of miner 2s and 8 harvesters, your lasers on a thorax will be deactivating all the time unless you are constantly dropping ore after each activation period for each laser to your jettison container.
Vexor on the other hand, with 4 miner 2s and 8 harvesters, fitted with 18% expanders, gives you a little more breathing room: 2 activation cycles without having to drop the ore.

y dose the vexor get the expanders and the thorax dont

coz the Vexor gets you over 1k while the poor Thorax wont come very far

use a thorax. just activate 2 lasers... then like 5 secons later activate the next 3. so you have time to move the cargo. cargo space dont matter that much cuz your not keeping it there. btw, where do you mine?

thorax has 5 low slots, put 5 cargo expanders there and there you go. put a shield booster, 1 ab and 1 mwd on med and 5 lasers always beat 4.

The guy is talking miner 2's...
With current specs of the Photonic CPU you need 2 low slots for CPU enhancers to fit 5 miner 2's... After the patch you need 3 low slots to have enough CPU for the same 5 mining lasers...
And if you are too lazy to drag and drop then get a Dominix ASAP, put 7 good cargo expanders on it, start mining a asteroid and go drink some coffee before you need to drag ore to a can or drop it off at a station.
