I dont understand why would someone kill their perfectly-good afternoon to sit in a ship all day long in HED- and never even fire a shot due to CCP incompetence?
I mean, you guys dont do anything in these blob fests... You jump in, and your client freezes up for 10 hours. Then you wake up in a fresh clone. Thats it.
So, someone tell me, why do you guys join these stupid CTAs that are going to result in TiDi and a wasted afternoon? Just, I dont know, log off, play as an alt in RvB, whatever... But several thousand people just wasting their afternoon, i dont understand this.
Personally, I would NEVER join a CTA that has even a hint of TiDi. I guess thats why I live in wormholes, away from this stuff... |

If we don't come, there is zero chance. If we come, at best there is a chance of turning the fight around, at worst we can deal serious damage to the enemy.
If the fight was as clearly decided beforehand as the forums claim, nobody sane would order a fleet to jump in. Truth is, it's way more complicated than just "jump in, blackscreen, die".
In fact, curiously, with no TiDi or with weaker server nodes, when crashes were almost guaranteed, people wouldn't commit to the scale of fights they do today and wouldn't experience as bad performance. |

TiDi is not crashing and lockups. Those are the issues that TiDi prevents. Educate yourself before coming to the forums to whine and look foolish. |

If you win, and keep your space, and might take someone else's space.
You lose 100% of the fights you don't take.
On a side note, the space you spent 8 hours straight fighting for makes you less isk than highsec.

Eve's sov system seems like a race to the bottom - whoever is more willing to waste more of their life on this unbelievably boring mechanic emerges the "winner".

and some of Eve players prefer to make blobs, overload nodes, get TiDi and then whine on forums.

Sounds like just such a big wase of time. this concept of sov, its messed up in the first place. Sov should be contested like in factional warfare, multiple buttons of varying sizes to orbit simultaneously. break up da blob into manageable fleet sizes operating on multiple grids. |

Too bad, because if you blobbers could ever think outside of that 16th century musket block mentality of warfare you'd realize that when your enemy is piling 2000 ships into one system that means 2000 ships that aren't guarding everywhere else.
Next time try putting 10 fleets of 200 each in ten different places and watch your enemy's head explode. You'll most likely lose 200 ships (1 fleet) when they cyno their uberblob onto it but in return you'll pulverize their assets across nine other systems at once. Knock out their ISK faucets and you won't have to fight the next generation of blob fleets. Victory at last.
Oh wait, that would imply that were fighting to win a war and not just the e-peen glory of your killboards, and we all know that's just crazy talk.

if only it was that simple with the current sov mechanics which takes you about a week to take a station system......... |
