If you can get more done with less ships, you can get even more done with more of those ships. That's just a fundamental truth of EVE. How's that working out for you goon. Bringing a small enough amount of ships such that the node wouldn't have had the problems it did would have ensured our defeat in HED-GP just as much as the server instability itself did. The node might have held up better, but the outcome would have been then same.
The multitude of sub caps and dreads weren't there to have a fight, they were hoping to bring down the server and then try to mop up the wrecking-ball as they logged back in and were all split up and scattered across half the system.
I personally thing that the server not failing is a very good step in the right direction. There definitely needs to be something done about the lag experienced, but at least we know the "crash server" strategy for avoiding a defeat is gone (or at least harder to pull off)
How many dreads did you lose goon? ~350?
I just love goon tears. |

Actually, had you not brought in those subcaps and only brought in all 700 dreads you would have decimated the wrecking ball. N3/PL leadership were actually worried (hence the mobile jammer) until your FCs gave the command to siege red and jump out. And here we are. |

1. Tidi is way better than the alternative.
2. You only play eve for fleet battles? "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |

Lots to work out as the game ages and saturation of players becomes more intense.
CCP - Please work this out.
This is not a new issue, and rather than fix it CCP continues to introduce more and more crap for highsec instead. To be honest, I doubt this *can* be fixed. Every time CCP introduces a new upgrade or feature to ease the path for mass combat, the various BigFight entities promptly overwhelm the update with ever higher numbers. So long as nul blocs insist on maximizing the numbers of pilots arriving on-grid, this will continue, world without end.
Y'all are victims of your own success.
Either adapt to the new reality of maneuver-and-position warfare, or come up with a means for limiting the numbers of pilots on-grid.
Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
Didn't vote? Then you voted for NulBloc |
