Hey guys,
I just built a nifty little web app for everyone, which currently offers the ability to forward evemails and notifications to your personal email account.
1) register an account on www.eve-core.net 2) import characters by inputting API keys with proper permissions (button there to create predefined keys) 3) select "mail" or "notifications" checkbox 4) get your evemail sent to your personal email!
This app offers a couple advantages over existing systems: a) it requires no install, and so you can get your evemail on a mobile phone or anywhere you can check your personal email b) import as many characters as you like, get evemail for all of them sent to one place c) it's FREE!!!!
You'll notice there are some other things on the site too, like the "Payments" page. This is just for my future expansion if I want to add pay-per-use services as well. Feel free to test it out, it's all functional; there's just nothing to spend the money on!
Please try to break it, I've made it as resilient as possible but there's nothing better than an bunch of EVE trolls to find holes in a website.
Enjoy! |

That's actually pretty cool. Nice clean interface, and of course being free is nice.
Imported 6 chars onto my account, get all the mail and notifications now. Well done, thanks! |

Good, glad you like it. Yeah, I made it as clean as possible, no ads or anything like that. |

Everything's all running nicely, had a glitch there for a day where it wasn't forwarding but all fixed. Any suggestions on enhancements are welcome!
One thing I need to implement (and am slowly progressing on) is a parser for the notifications. As any of you who use the forwarding have seen, they show up as a bunch of ID numbers and useless things. Unfortunately, this is not a software bug, but the way they are provided through the API. I'm working on a way to convert them back to readable text. Free EveMail and Notification to email forwarding www.eve-core.net |

I spent most of the day refactoring code today, and updated the way it handles evemails. It will now properly handle different sizes and colours (and display as-sent in game, assuming your email client is set to display HTML).
Coming soon will be proper notifications parsing and formatting. Free EveMail and Notification to email forwarding www.eve-core.net |
