"The Forsaken Empire Mounts Massive Operation with Newfound Allies reported by: Yelena Haurvatha | 2006.03.24 14:39:53
D7-ZAC. Allied forces consisting of The Forsaken Empire, Kaos Empire and The Five were joined by Gurista Pirates in an effort to dismantle the hostile Starbases placed by IRON and G.
In a bid to impress their newfound allies as much as to ensure the security of the Capital-class vessels, the coalition assembled a fleet of more than 320 vessels on the spot, consisting of around 150 Battleships, 150 miscellaneous support vessels, as well as a Carrier and four Dreadnoughts, with over a dozen on stand-by within jump range. Once they were joined by an additional eight Phoenix-class Dreadnoughts brought by Gurista operative Lucash Helmatt, operations commenced and the assault on the Control Towers began.
Six hours later, with little resistance to face, three of the enemy Starbases were in reinforced mode. The fleet then slowly dispersed, and the Guristas were seen returning to their home system, H-PA29, leaving the final task of destroying the towers to the F-E and combined forces."
This is one of the most unbalanced things the devs have ever done. Its ok if they set up small role playing events in empire or have convory moving through 0.0. But what you cant do is help one alliance destroy the other. Basicaly what the devs did was len 8 dread pilots and 8 dreads to f-e to kill the iron POS. Thats just ******* stupid.

Why? I don't see you making the same complaints when the Serpentis attack BOB.

That's just lame. I mean, come on.
ISD purposely interfering with alliance politics and wars is just ridiculous.
This kind of action simply leads to accusations of favoritism, and a diminishing of the feeling that EVE's future is directed by players rather than the developers.
Serpentis attacking BoB is one thing, but a group of ISD actively helping out an attacking force of players to change the course of a conflict is ridiculous.

It is advancing the storyline for the game. Besides other factions join in the fun which is still the devs joining in for other alliances. And sometimes they even abandon fleets to be slaughtered by BOB.

Its fair to me. Should depend on faction standing of the alliance (if there is such a thing?!) to the other alliance. But its all part of this factional warfare.
Lets the guristas expand into another territory. Perhaps even to rewrite the balance of NPC factions in 0.0 :)
Quite exciting stuff and I think its great! ----- Memorable Quotes <Jarltan Dimtras> OH MY GOD MY GF IS A DUDE |

well the few that agree with this and say it should happen more answer this.
F-E live in 0.0 where guristas patrol the belts. Every day hundreds of "guristas pilots" are killed yet they seem to align themself with f-e. People may say its just the storyline of the game. But if thats the case the storyline is flawed.
