Feeling recharged by the wonderful ceremony for the Emperor and the message from his envoy the PIE Inc fleet decided to take the offensive against the Minmatar insurgents - Oracle Corp.
The following is a transmission from the Local communications channel before, during and after the ensuing battle which involved around 30 ships from both sides! - And a few bemused onlookers!
BTW - Be warned this is sort of OOC - we are not usually this friendly to Minmatar scum - nor they to us ;-)
EPISODE 1 - Prelude to Battle - The PIE Fleet gathers

A final note - while the battle raged another smaller clash was taking place in an adjacent system where PIE pilot Klein piloting a Maller took on two Oracle cruisers killing one and forcing the other to flee.

Well fought battle by both sides. One of the best i've been in so far. It would have been even better if one of those 3 battle ships we did significant damage to would have blown up  I would like to commend my pilots for their courage in standing against 5 PIE battleships and the cruiser support. We were out gunned but we gave it our all. I'm damn proud of all the Oracle pilots there today.

I was there prior before the engagement and warped into the Oracle task Force, got a nice threat right away 
then about 3 mins later I asked official permission to come and watch and it was a great sight to see. I never saw something like that. If I have the chance at work I will try and fix the 7 screenies I took from the battle and post them

It was a lagout fest. Hopefully when we do it again it will be more fun for me  as I warped in, warped out and woke in a pod. I give thanks to my God and Torquemada that it was just a poor Gallentine ship I lost.

I have to agree. My systems were overloaded while the crew frantically tried to obey my orders. There were drones everywhere - I couldn't even locate an enemy among them.
It would be nice if our engineers could build some filters into our display systems. I'd have filtered the drones out until after all real threats had been eliminated then.
Nonetheless valiantly fought. The battle showed that the light of the one is shining on our path and that the Emperor smiled upon us.

The sense of Honor on display here is most impressive, tis a Great Shame I missed out after my Crucifier took a sensor overload during the vigil in Amarr and a Badger tried to scoop me to its cargo bay. I spent most of the vigil warping around the Amarr system, with the Badger getting a free lift. After jumping out of the system, the sensors broke down completely and only now are they repaired.
Luck though as PIE managed without me ;)

I was the lone frigate that got dispatched to the gate to see what was there. I was expecting them on the OTHER side of the gate, so to suddenly get locked by at least 5 vessels was unexpected to say the least.
Needless to say my crucifier lasted all of 5 or so seconds  .
Oracle being true to the war agreements didn't pod me and I made my way back to the station to dock. That was when I had to log as it was Waay past my bedtime :) Oracle also let me leave the system unharmed the next day. Cheers for that guys.

Umm...sorry about that Johnny, It was I who had a suspicion the massed Oracle pilots would have moved from the Warp in point to the Gate to catch us warping out. As you were in the smallest craft I requested that Lady Vetinari send you in for recon.

yes the lag was awful. i believe the use of so many drones and dreadful server lag were to blame. still, a great fight and i must commend PIE on their good humour and fair fighting. you'll be happy to know i recovered all my guns, and am once again armed and ready...
