I always fit cloaks to my low sec haulers. You will find that an industrial fitted out with expanders costing 30 million a pop makes for a hell of a loss when it gets blown up. A cloak allows me to get away with a little bit more, saved my ass several times.

yeah ok, im just saying that _I_ dont. I just haul frigs, feul and ammo to my POS. nothing worth mor ethan 5 mil really. i just blitz through if i can. I totally understand they can be awesome on a hauler carrying 5 local hull expanders stuffed full of zydrene

I once uncloaked between 2 battleships and let loose (after the dalay) with 4 smartbombs whilst they were in a state of panic. I then warped off. We all had a good laugh in local about it didn't do much damage, just stopped the missiles and caused a bit of shield damage but I very nearly wet myself with the local chat, my partner attacked them amongst the mayhem which further added to the fun.
The shock factor of a cloak is definitly worth it imho.

lol.. completely flood the market with zyd :D
I dont run suicidally with all expanders, but a mix favouring warp stabs. But cloak means if im unlucky and warp into a gatecamp and im quick enough and change direction drastically enough I can survive to haul another day :D The warping to safespot and cloaking is also a major benefit. No need to worry about warping between spots then to stay hidden.

As a new player i ventured below 0.5 to try shoting rats in my new moa. Happy as a man can be. Totally obsessed with running at any sign of pvp trouble i kept only 1/2 an eye on the rats. Suddenly 2 pvp pirates uncloak, i cant go to warp, they take all shield and armor, most structure and want 4 million i dont have... i plead with them, they pod me...now i fly frigate. Hard, fast learning.

Ran with a cloak on my Apoc for a while, up till that one was lost in a corp war snafu. Very useful, but since then, I've dropped it in favor of 7 mega pulses with a heavy nos. As my skills free up more cpu, expect it will find a way back into my ship desighns in the future.

Um, theres something like a 10 second recalibration time in which they cannot lock you after uncloaking.

hey dont normal cloaks decloak when someone else is within 20km or something? thats what ive thought so ive never bothered to get one as i didnt think it would help with camps etc.. yea i spell cloak btw. lol

Most of my main ships use cloaks.
Hound, Manticore, Cheetah and Arazu. I'm a veteran Bomber pilot, and they are my fave ship class in the game.
