As the name says, the following are the planned rules for the League. The rules are open for review by you, the playerbase, who will be playing and watching the games (well, hopefully anyway ). Feel free to make suggestions or changes as you see fit, but nothing radical, Like FREE BEER FOR THE PLAYERS!!!1!1!!!111!! cus its gonna cost ya . But seriously, things like 'Make Lethal mods legal, man' aren't going to be taken seriously, as will be covered in the rules
Well, hope you like em
CanBall Rules and Regulations
Index Section One- Ships 1a) Type/class of Ships 1b) Reasoning 1c) Outlawed
Section Two-Modules 2a) Type/class of Module 2b) Reasoning 2c) Outlawed
Section Three-Play 3a) Legal Maneuvers 3b) Illegal Maneuvers
-------------------------
Section One-Ships
1a) The only ships that will be deemed legal are Tech One Frigates. Faction ships will be allowed, simply because the advantage to them is not enough to disrupt the fairness of the game.
Spectators will be allowed shuttles, and only shuttles to watch the match. Anyone who shows up in anything other then a shuttle will be destroyed. This is simply so that no one will be allowed to attack one of the TeamÆs ships, or any spectators. It will also mean no riots if your team loses.
1b) Tech One frigates across the board allow an even playing field, and the game to be decided by the skill of the player, and not the amount of money he has.
1c) The punishment for flying an outlawed (e.g. anything other then a T1 frigate, or a shuttle if youÆre a spectator) will be destruction of your ship, and any modules left behind will be taken to fund CanBall. Just remember that faction ships ARE allowed, as they are tech one frigates.
Section Two-Modules
2a) The only modules allowed are non-lethal mods. These include, but are not limited to, NOS, ABs, MWDs, ECM Pulse (but not ECM). Named and faction Mods are legal, as there isnÆt enough of a difference to disrupt the fairness of the game.
Spectators are not allowed anything other then a shuttle, so there are no limits on what they can fit legality wise.
2b) Non-lethal modules allow for interesting and fast paced game play that can last for extended periods of time. If Lethal mods were to be put in use, then the entirety of CanBall would become nothing more then a PvP tournament.
2c) A Referee will scan all player ships, and those found with lethal mods will be asked to go back to station to refit. Those who fail to comply with three warnings of the Referee will be destroyed. This will be in effect for reasons mentioned in Section 2b.
Section Three-Match Play Rules
3a) Teams consist of one (1) Center, who is also the team captain, two (2) defenders and two (2) linemen. Both teams will be in the same gang. Each player will put the opposite team to û10 Sec Standing for the duration of the match. Teams will start at a station, when the call to start is given the Referee will Gang-Warp the two teams to the pitch, to ensure that everyone will be given an equal chance of getting to the Ball.
3b) Illegal maneuvers include Lethal mods of all types, ECM (ECM Burst is allowed), and Webs if your not a Defender. Again, these are punishable by the destruction of you ship and the liberation of your modules.
