The clincher was when Star War's forums became unavailable to the public. I don't care for that business practice. Besides, those guys have enough money. I'm all about helping the mmorpg industry, and i'm sure CCP would appreciate my resubscribing more so than Sony. Anyway, good to be back in the stars. -Yates "Yellowrat" Bast

And welcome back :) -- The worst thing you can do when suggesting a solution to a problem is to provide alternatives, people end up arguing the alternatives instead of implementing the fix.

I for one logged on and was going to post and ask for reasons why I should purchase the game and sign up for a subscription - when I found out I couldn't even do that without buying the game it pretty much made up my mind. I shouldn't worry too much...the NVA vs TTi war has finished yet :-) There's currently a minor lull in fighting, with a few skirmishes, raids and the occasional minor battle each evening (usually between the NVA and some of the TTi pirate allies, rather than TTi itself). Lone TTi gunships waste their time prowling about to no strategic effect as well. Whilst certainly still highly dangerous, Venal is no longer the charred ruin it was when TTi declared war on half the VA. The NVA can now conduct civilian operations there with barely any disturbance from TTi, whilst TTi industrial activity and mining in Venal has come to a complete halt. This is not the beginning of the end however. Several corps have voted and passed on official war against TTi and will be enacting them when the time is right. Other corps, including our own, have been trapped in wars against either corporations that have ceased to exist (thus resulting in hostilities against 'EVE System Error' whoever that is ) or have agreed to a ceasefire (as in the case od us vs The Pain Syndicate) in order to allow us to fight TTi. Once these are cleared by CONCORD heavy and continual action will take place against TTi in Empire Space until they are willing to accept defeat. All in all there's plenty of stuff going on, the only reason Venal is most widely known is due to some lucky timing with it hitting the fan just when Scope was at its peak during its short lifespan. Add to that the upcoming power struggle in Amarr (hinted at very strongly in the Emperor's message) and new equipment such as mobile refineries and it all adds up to a very interesting galaxy indeed! Far more exciting than chasing frogs in a swamp with a blaster so that you can use bigger blaster to chase bigger frogs. _______________________________ Doomheim - EVE's only hygiene!

Last weekend was no party and the current lag, screen freeze syndrome this last week once the servers are up for a bit has not been a picnic. Seems as soon as someone posts how great the servers are after ONE day of semi-smooth running they Barf again. Try again.
