I have not read this threads before. This is a first time post.
We mostly small gang pvp for fun. Not too serious. Lately, we've noticed the lack of pvp small gang warfare, and to be honest Eve is getting Dull.
What can be done to increace small gang activity in low sec? Most of my Corp members have several accounts and they are all losing intrest.
Any ideas to increace Small gang PvP activity?

EVE has never been about "log in, undock, warp somewhere, get a fight." Get your friends in bombers and recons, have them keep at range on a blackops BS, send a newbie out in a bait ship with a cyno. Covert drops are awesome. |

CCP has heard the cries of the small gang PvP enthusiasts! In an upcoming patch you'll get your very own structures to shoot with the player owned customs offices. Rejoice!

It never fails to surprise me how the many thousands of people saying they're looking for small gang PvP always seem to fail to find each other.
I wonder why that is?

Could it have anything to do with increasing numbers of people fitting cynos and having half a dozen supercaps waiting to jump in just to kill a lone battlecruiser? |

No sane alliance would do that, that could be used for a obvious bait, I heard to bait supers one alliance risked a capital. If supers could be baited so easily then by all means let it be so, can the people getting lone battlecruisers super droped contact a rival of the hot dropers to counterdrop them.

Who said anything about sane? A titan, 3 or 4 super carriers and a couple of regular carriers to kill a BC isn't unusual in some parts of space. |

Have you considered going into WH Space? It's great for small gang PVP.
Have you considered factional warfare? Also designed (albeit slightly flawed) for small gang PVP.
Have you considered a friendly wardec with another corp? Perhaps an unfriendly wardec?
Maybe it might be good to re-evaluate what your corp wants to do in EVE. "Roaming around and getting into fights" is all well and good, but often tighter, more defined goals make things more fun, and give people "stuff to do". Perhaps in pursuing other goals (taking and controlling space, harrassing other corps, being pirates and saying YAARRR alot, blowing up Mackinaws) you and your corp can make your own fun in EVE, and entice others to have the small gang PVP you're looking for with you.

Yeah, most humans don't have the patience required for a true space simulation :)
Whether you like the idea or hate it ... it seems EVE is almost the only big game to lack some kind of PvP matching system that could allow ppl to log in and get their PvP fix easily/quickly .... make fun of the other games if you want (WOW, Call of Duty, World of Tanks, whatever) ... they all have a way to "log in for an hour and fight" - and like it or not, EVE must compete against these games if we want it to survive.
It seems everyone is trying to come up with ideas to solve this problem (farms and fields, PVP missions, Nullsec pockets in Hisec, etc. etc. etc. ....) .... IMO we need more and better ideas so that we can find a way to allow EVE to compete in this area, while keeping the rest of EVE (hard sci fi backdrop, player driven, etc.) intact ... |
