So these Veratas Immortals are just a bunch of pirates... right? It seems the Fury corporation as a part of V.I. just camp Fru gates and pod people.
What is the fun in that?

ah maybe you refer to myself and the 2 days I spent in the frulegur system, think i killed about 4 "selected" haulers but podded no-one. Thats what you call gate pirating  .
Thats a gateway to greatwidlands that a certain alliance like to bring alt haulers through, now get back in yer hole and stop invading the thread.

Mith,
You are correct and I was one of those selected haulers, there was no warning no asking for ransom just bang from 100+KM away and im dead then your corp mate pods me, I have the kill rights and kill mail to prove it if need be.
as far as im' concerned V.I. and especially Fury Corp are evil.
another enemy made, if that was your intention, it succeeded.

ok if there was no ransom then it wasn't piracy....sounds like a valid kill to me. Maybe you should be more careful in which 0.0 space you try to roam.

I agree I should be more careful in Fru (0.4).
Maybe I do not understand what constitutes a valid kill? Is my corp at war with V.I. and I just am unaware? If so, I apologize for the accusation.
It still feels a lot like piracy, note definition b. below.
The destruction of an innocents hauling carrying NPC trade goods and unarmed, definately falls under the phrase a similar act.
a. Robbery committed at sea. b. A similar act of robbery, as the hijacking of an airplane.

Been in V for a while now....never once have I pirated, never once have I seen anyone pirate. But here is the criteria for shooting another player in Great Wildlands.
(Blue + ) = NO KILL
(Red - ) = KILL
(Neutral) = KILL
Fairly straight forward, quite simple actually. You must have not met the Blue + Criteria.

Ahh That makes sense!
The only part that doesn't is that Fru is 0.4 Empire space, granted its lo-sec. I still consider Fury's action against neutrals in Empire space as Piracy.
If you kill neutral tgts and its not self-defense in empire space then its still piracy regardless of you may think. You guys were must've been tanking the sentry guns b/c I dont think you were out of there range though you were a ways off to be sure.
If the sentry guns are firing at you its not because you are getting along with others. :)
I just wanted to let folks know the facts, I'll post the kill mails tonight so it doesn't appear as a blank accusation. I just assumed V.I. is some sort of pirate alliance. If I'm wrong, then is there a means for remediation to file a claim so to speak? If so then I would publically retract my words.

I never denied being evil, fury were pirating long before we joined v, we war deced many carebear corps just for the fun of slaughtering the innocents.
my corp mate podded you due to being a little inexperienced in low sec killing.
we refrain from pirating now because of being in V, but that doesn't mean we're carebear friendly.

My corp's (Misfunk in 4tw) not part of RA, and we live in 0.0 with them as friends, we get shot at all day and we take it like the honorable soldiers we are.
No offence to the potential ally, who may join RA in the future to fight -V-. but stop whining...

I am stunned with a paradigm shift for I know true pirates would not have taken responsibility for making a mistake but would have continued to redicule me. I was wrong to think or even accuse V.I. and Fury Corporation and especially Mithrindar of being pirates. I now have come to view my podding as a collateral damage that spilled over into my own carelessness in lo sec space as I happened to be at the wrong place at the right time. I was caught in a valid conflict and in the heat of the moment was destroyed to quickly for anyone to make an accurate assessment.
Captain Mithrindar has claimed responsibility of my loss and in the highest form of honor and integrity has made good upon my request for remuneration. It is clear by their actions that a mistake was made and they corrected it. Nothing more can be expected from honrable captains and standup corporations whom are part of quality alliances.
I hereby publicly retract all previous remarks of disparaging nature toward Captain Mithrindar, Fury Corporation, and V.I. Alliance. I was in the wrong, I jumped the gun with my accusations and they proved to be false, as it is clear this was not an act or piracy. I ask that my apology be accepted in the manner in which it is tendered.
Honestly, the universe of Eve and the organizations that populate it continue to astound and amaze me, this time in a good way. I hope in the future I will not be so narrow-minded.

I once saw a pirate I think. Can't remember his name. Grumpy old fella with an attitude. Almost killed me. Good thing I could activate my MicroWarpDrive so fast. I hid behind an asteroid for 2 days with no food and water, in the end I mined veldspar with a spoon and ate it just to sustain me. Eventually he left and I found a note at the spot where he attacked me. I ate the note, I was so hungry.
Omg the pirate ate my Sig... Cortez was his name I think... He has found me, I'll never be safe again...
