It makes it harder for someone to warp scramble you.

Edited by: Erick Storm on 26/03/2006 20:20:14 First, let me explain what warp scrambling does. When a player wants to keep another player from using their warp drive to warp away before they get blown up, they will use a warp scrambler. This will make it so that their warp drive no longer functions and they are stuck.
A warp core stabilizer is not all that important in non-pvp game play, unless you are fighting higher level enemies who can warp scramble you. Where a warp core stabilizer is Infinitely important is in PVP or low security space. Players will consistently try to warp scramble you in PVP so you cannot escape being destroyed. Having a stabilizer will save your life. That said, I rarely install a warp core stabilizer, but that may be because I do not hang out in low sec all that often.

No. You have to get out of it to warp.

Note that the more ex*****ve WCS like the Halcyon do not have stonger anti-jaming abilities. The extra price is for lower CPU/power requirements.

They counter warp scrambling if you have enough to balance the strength you are being warp scrambled.
E.g. If they are scarmbling you for -1 you need one WCS to counter it so you can warp. -2 you need to wcs etc.
