Hi folks,
After 2 solid months of hard coding following a year long project, T.R.I.A.D are proud to present the launch of the first public Agency system.
It has successfully passed all testing phases by willing members of the EvE community and is as of now live for the use of all EvE public.
Very much like NPC missions, those undertaking T.R.I.A.D missions will be allocated Loyalty Points and isk rewards based on their current standing level, which itself increases over time as missions are completed. Included within are storyline missions which will affect the EvE Universe state.
Members within the Agency are also rewarded with Item Offers for their loyalty as well as medals and other artefacts which reflect their standings within the agency.
We will be taking on 10 agency members in the first phase of live. However, we will only allow those into the agency who are NOT in an adverse positive standing to those who T.R.I.A.D are opposed to.
For example, if we have a standing of -6.00 to Amarrian Corporations or the Amarrian Empire, we will not be accepting those who are +4 in either of those cases - this is to follow the lines of the inbuilt Roleplay Engine which also drives many of the missions.
Those interested should contact DeT Resprox via evemail to be added. Following receipt of evemail, you will be reviewed on the above grounds for entry.

Sounds like an interesting idea.
Any chance of an example of the sorts of missions that you set and the rewards you are offering? Are they kill missions/haulage/mining etc and what sort of lvl of rewards do you offer - comparable to lvl 1, lvl 3 etc missions?

A few example missions already available are:
Courier Missions: Trasport from A to B via escrow trade pickup. Rewards are 0.01 standing increase per 2 jumps, 100 LP per jump and 0.01 % of goods value per standing level (ie if you were level 10standing and had a mission to courier 100M worth of goods you'd get 10M upon completion).
Requisite Item: Porvide T.R.I.A.D with a quantity of items. Based upon value of goods, a maxium standing of 10 will give you a 10% top up to the asking price we offered for the goods. Loyalty for this type of mission is value of goods/10000 (ie 10M of goods grants 1000 LP but with a standing of 10 this doubles to 2000!) This mission grants 0.01 per 10M value of goods.
Storyline missions are also in place which follow storylines in the eve universe and have their own bonuses based on numerous types such as reconnaisance missions or assasination missions and spying. There is also a further upgrade due in the next few days to enable those on courier missions to request an escort if they feel their mission may be dangerous - thus creating an escort mission for anyone to take up.
You are also able to request a mission in your region (if available - the corp news page has huge hints if they are!) or globally.
As you can probably guess - the more missions you do = the more standing you have = the better your mission rewards and loyalty points = the bigger the item offer you get for your efforts.

I like the idea of a player agency as it gives the freedom to customise missions and also other players can give input into mission ideas :)
The new mission I got this morning from the T.R.I.A.D agency is quite a challenge!
What happens upon failure of a mission ? (I'm not saying I'm definatley going to fail, but I may need to negotiate a time extension ;) )

Hiya.
If you are interested send Det Resprox an Evemail indicating your interest and he will get back to you asap. As the agency has just opened Det is only accepting members by application at the moment.
Cheers.

This week i'm hoping to begin work on building a storyline mission flash movie builder. Basically, upon completing a storyline mission, it will create a short movie which is stringed together by a number of scenes depending on the scenario the mission-taker was on at the time and on success or failure. These will then be used in public broadcasts - such as the Intergalactic Summit.

Another thing I am sure Det will appreciate (although not like it much ;) ) is "constructive" critisism and feedback on the agency.
I have carried out a number of missions already and have a keen eye on developments because this has the potential to be very successful for everyone participating if done correctly.
With that in mind here are my initial thoughts.
One of the missions I carried out gave me a reward of 4 isk. Now I didn't mind because it was the easiest mission in the whole world. I just had to move 42 isogen and 10 mex to another station in the same system.
This got me thinking however, that a lot of pilots might feel deflated to be given a mission like this.
Therefore I believe, like with npc level 1 agents, there should be at least a minimum reward of isk each mission.
So for example, if reward value % less than x then set mission reward at x. I'm not going to give any figures as thats not for me to decide but I hope you get the jist.
This solves two problems. It gives new starters some isk per mission and it also stops Det from creating missions for missions sake. He will now think "Hmm I would make a loss creating a mission of 42 isogen and 10 mex and I should wait until more minerals are ready to be moved from that station before creating the mission".
My other alt also accepted a mission that had 246,000m3 consisting of 4 types of minerals. Firstly, I was wrong to accept that mission admittedly as I only have an indy.. However, it got me thinking about how many mission runners are going to use a Freighter? Very few really, if any? So, Det can use this opportunity to set a maximum courier delivery mission of 20,000m3, like the normal courier missions you see on the courier page? Now, that 246,000m3 mission can become 10+ missions? (although I appreciate that you cannot remotely seperate millions of tritanium so that would have to be put up as a freighter mission).
I also wanted to comment on the escort missions that are being proposed. These will be fine for me as this char is more pvp oriented and I can escort my newby alt doing the hauling. However, for those haulers requesting an escort for their mission, will they be able to indicate the timezone they are in as I fear that a pvp player will accept an escort mission but end up being on the other end of the timezone to the hauler and they'll end up never online at the same time? So I would definatley like some more details on the proposed escort missions?
Thats it for now ;)
Don't pod me!
Jim.

Jerikia,
A few answers:
I am switching the reward state later tonight to greatly increase the base reward, so you should expect to see that kick in at 7pmish on all missions which will help the new starters find their feet etc.
Freighter missions will remain - these are needed to shift bulk goods which are urgently needed to manufacture T.R.I.A.D produced goods - sales from goods create funds to purchase/make bonus items etc.
I will be making a new option in the agency menu (where you see Request Mission, Current Mission, History etc) to enable you to report an attack against you on a mission and request escorts for your current mission - placing an option to state your timezone in here should be no probs at all :)
------- Bob:
I ran SMaK Enterprises for 3 years purely on a corp agency system which proved a success. At the time of its creation, it recieved coverage on the main news on eve-i.com and evegate.net. This public version runs in a similar fashion but in greater depth and with far more possibilities. I'm sure it will evolve over time.
Never knock it til you try it
