Edited by: Azlana on 27/03/2006 01:47:12 Well I've noticed that CPP can be somewhat economical with the truth when it comes to ship discriptions. Kinda reminds of Del-Boy out of "Only Fools and Horses".
Anyone who spots any of these blatant lies, feel free to post them here. I'll start us of with:
Celestis: "True to Gallente style the Celestis is especially deadly in close quarters combat"
Osprey: "the Osprey utilizes the best the Caldari have to offer in state-of-the-art armor alloys, sensor technology and weaponry"
Brutix: "When this hard-hitting monster appears, the battlefield takes notice."
Dominix: "While no longer regarded as the king of the hill..."
Typhoon: "The Typhoon class battleship has an unusually strong structural integrity for a Minmatar ship." Lol, basically suggesting you hull tank it.

the typhoon has less hull than the tempest to top it off.

Maulus: "It is particularly valued amongst bounty hunters for the ship's optimization for warp scrambling technology, giving its targets no chance of escape."
Vexor: "The Vexor is especially useful for surveying in potentially hostile sectors as it can stay on duty for a very long time before having to return to base." You use a covert ops or interceptor to survey hostile space.

Falcon " Most of the recent designs off their assembly line have provided for a combination that the Ishukone name is becoming known for: great long-range capabilities and shield systems unmatched anywhere else." That's why the rook has more base shields?

"the Bellicose is still a very solid ship for most purposes, especially in terms of long range combat."
Right up until they removed the range bonus =/. ----

I think you have to take into account the theoretical "storyline" vs the MMORPG..
In the storyline version of EVE there are probably a far greater Frig pilots, with less and less pilots into the larger class ships. A storyline fleet battle would have a few larege vessels, some scattered mid-class ships and a large number of smaller ships.
In the game everyone and their dog owns a Battleship. When you get a fleet battle on game you see way more BS's than would normally be expected - because it's a game.
The descriptions seem to be more geared for the roleplay aspect of the storyline. When browsing for a new ship it may be to your benefit to keep in mind that the description does not take into effect the abnormal imbalance of ship types on the game.
I wouldn't say that people, during a fleet battle, scream "OMG IT's a brutix...hit the nearest gate" ;)
