i prefer this to do alone. Warp in then the serpentis will agro on you. Take them out then the guristas spawn
Second tier one serpentis group attacks you after that on pick one group at a time.
Third tier. Wait until one group attacks. They are close to you but if you wait you can take one at a time.
If you do it in a group you get the problem in the first tier. The first person that warps (mission owner) would land at safe distance to the guristas group. Tehy wont agro on him. But every other pilot gangwarping or normal warping to him will land too close to the guristas group and they will agro on that pilot.

I tried this with a corpmate. I warped in, Serps agroed me. She warps in, Guristas agro her.
I'm not sure so it's because she warped in too close to the Guristas. They seemed to agro any new entity that arrived on the scene, including drones. If I warped in and released drones, the Guristas would agro them.
So if you're doing this solo, assuming they do agro drones, I wouldn't depend on them.

i solo this in my ishtar/domi....doesn't come as often as it used to though...biggest tip i could give is stay clear of the structure on the guristas gate, seen a lot of pilots lose ships on that

I use a ishkur 1st and go through killing all the guardian vets then come back in a domi and farm it 23/7 (TM). Mind you having said that I just used a domi last time with TII lights for the vets. Kill them 1st and be aware that as soon as you launch drones in the 1st stage the guristas group will attack the drones, then you. Excellent mission

hey hey,
corp mate worked out u need to be able to tank around 12k DPM, which is about 1XL booster going hell for leather (480 @4s = 7200hp boost a minute) and while each rat dies the damage drops off. tank for race specific too, which helps alot
sensible targeting : i let them lock first then kill what agros you and i pulled my drones in just as the targeted rats structure whent so they didnt wander off.
TBH it was pretty much doable solo. done the serp area without to much trouble. Left the rest to the corp mate in his Raven. its not a cake walk but a clear head and slow but sensible shooting on this one gets you through.
and for those who are less SkilleD or cant afford the more expensive setups, theres no shame in warping in killing a few ships then warping out then going back. My first ever L4 was mordus headhunters. : lost my first ever tempest, and took me 2 days but the ebil Wnkrs died in the end.

Id really like to know how to tank all that dmg . I could take one side of the spawn (serp) but the missle spam was too much, im thinking of going from 2 LAR2's+3 hardners+2 cap relays to 1 LAR+6 hardners. That should be ok cap-wise and dmg should be greatly reduced and allow my single rep to handle it.

I just ran Worlds Collide lvl 4 yesterday. I was tanking full agro from area 1 (pulled out my drones to kill those darn super-frigs lol.). I was running 6 siege launchers on my raven. those frigs tank like mad. I had to run all 6 siege launchers on the frigs because my 5 med drones couldn't break the frig's armour tank.
For the serp area, I had 2 people with me for assistance, but stupid me, I targetted a non-agro'd bs and got full agro on me in that area... luckily my tank was holding around 70%-80% running my shield booster full out (wasn't sure if I'd tank it lol). I push around 832hp / 4 sec, with 88% kin resist & 69% therm resist. Shield recharge rate was normal / unmodified. :)

Take 5 light and 5 medium. 5 light drone will make short work of the frigets.

it's pretty easy if you ignore everything and only kill what slows you down. Specially when it's not your first time so you got some left over ship's crew. In the last stage 1 group will agro you kill all of them also the bs's that run away to about a 30km distance. the heiron will be unlocked and you can get your 20 ship's crew. When you get to the heiron the other rat's will agro but that's oki :) you kill em or warp away

Pick your groups carefully and if you have cap issue, use cap injectors.. works everytime.

Tried this mission yesterday evening with my Astarte. After filling the last low slow with quite expensive energized plates, I managed to stand in the middle of each stage taking fire from all sides and sustaining my armor and cap without any problems. Nice. And after taking down all these nasty ships around the research outpost I rescued 20 crew members. 30 were needed. So, I will have to go there once again. I think I will take a Deimos this time.

Dont want to lead the thread away from topic but a quick question. How often do the frigs/whatever carry warp scramblers? Is this something that was told to scare me and my Raven or can I still expect to be able to warp out now and then. So far thats been the only way Ive survived some of these.
I have cruise missiles but am still working on getting tech II XL booster and the tech II hardeners.

The caldari agent version is ok, with only a few warp scrambling rats at the start, and a few more inside both bases. The serp side is easy with 3 bunches of 2/3 BS few cruisers and few cepters. The guristas side is similar only the are more cruisers and the cruisers are actully high bounty HACs that are fairly tough.
Best way i found is to do the mission twice, second time doing the other factions base and onward to collect the final 20 crew members in the last room (to which both factions bases lead).
Made about 38mil on the last time i did it, as the second time round there are extra spawned rats to kill in the first and last rooms

Eveinfo.com .... Look up the mission, then look at the frigates that scramble, listed near the bottom of their stats is a % chance they carry a warp scrambler, and the strength and range of the scrambler they would carry.

t2 XL boost is slightly more cap efficient but pushes my normal fitting beyond available CPU /pwr grid (can't remember which). A XL C5-L will repair the same damage / second at less fitting requirements but in exchange is not quite as nice to your cap. The difference between the two is not large, imo.
If you go all cruise missiles you will have to fight cruisers first to lower incoming dmg as quickly as possible. If you try to fight BS's first with only cruise missiles, they will tank you for so long that the damage will accumulate and you will have to warp out. Or use a ton of cap injections. If you go with at least some seige, you can take BS's first instead to lower dmg you receive the quickest. Either method has it's merits. It just requires you know what you're doing.
T2 hardeners are where it's at. Get um as soon as possible.

almost forgot Navy raven and crystal implant set
can tank 12k damage every 24 seconds
the Hacs on the gurista side are what really hurt because they do alot of thermal damage at long distance 80km for standard missiles wish i had there skills....LOL

I guess I should simply assume they are going to bring warp scramblers on any of those missions. Id be down one raven by now if even one brought one. Guess untill Ive refined my tanking some more I'll bring warp stabs.

Alot of peeps saying that only one group in the first stage or no groups in the first stage aggro. I got aggro'd from both groups in the first stage without firing a shot or launching a drone.
I am doing the Minmatar version of this. (Blood main, Angel secondary)
Thinking there might be some variation between factions on this one. Anybody else getting different reactions from the NPCs here?

I got the Blood/Angel versiona s well, In Kador (Amarr region) And yes, both groups aggroed.
Luckely, they both started over 100 km out, so I warped and got the snippergeddon. By the time I ahd to warp, none of the frigs and 2/3rd of the cruisers where down. They respawn after a while though.
Nice ISK in bounties on this mission.

You do not need any named faction stuff for this mission. At all.
And yes, im talking about the level 4 version.

Edited by: Fibreux on 30/04/2006 23:17:44 I have done this twice now, for me only the serpentis aggro instantly (standing issue?) so i just do the serpentis side for now. I use megathron with
6x 425mm Prototype I Gauss - 2x arbalest assault launchers the usual recharger mid-setup, with web (or cap-booster) 4x hardeners, 2x repairers , 1x capacitor relay.
First time was rough, now it went smoother. Carefull targeting and staying calm is the way to go.

I dont know what the big deal is with this mission, its fairly easy if not time consuming (elite frigates take a while to pop) but i am sure i could do it faster if i just ran through all the gates, problem is i want the bounty's. But anyways, i was expecting alot more of a challenge from it, unfortunatly the mission was easy as hell.
Perhaps its because i run a 6x mid slots gisti b-type sheild tank. maybe if i ran a tech II tank it might be harder i dont know.
