rigs are made of broken Components.... those Components are the same as the Components made in PL and moon.
So why make rigs out of function Components and not broken ones? |

Do you really expect EVE to change anything?
But tbh, any changes will result in losses for old players, EVE wont allow that, cuz then the old players get annoyed.
EVE wont change anything unless they can make a nice profit on it. |

because P.I. is a passive income source with very little work needed to make isk and if you made rigs out of stuff from P.I. materials then it would reduce mission runners income which is an active way of earning isk and increasing P.I. alts income which is a passive way of earning isk |

I assumed that rigs are made from bits of scavenged junk, a useful power circuit here, some armour plate there...all cobbled together through jury rigging. These aren't modules as such but rather player built items created from the tinkerers in the universe who like to solder (or more likely nano-weld) broken stuff together into useful gizmos. It's cheap resources to produce some very useful effects.
The functioning components are much more useful to create tech II gear, rigs are scavenged items re-cycled. |

actually broken salvage helps the new players out. I tbh cba to salvage most of the time so it rots. The loot table for this not so kind as I recall so a write off as it were for me most of the time. The few million it generates jsut not worth it to me for the time (maybe RNG jsut hates me lol...but its hated me fo a good while).
TBH if I feel like firing up rig production I jsut buy order it for t1 to see how much isk I can shave off sell order pricing.. takes all of a few seconds to setup the order and then see what rolls in after.
New player however who doesn't have the hangar with nice stuff already bought....well I remember when starting out even the crap salvage was say 100K isk I didn't have before.
And like Danika said this is in t2. t1 for the noobs, t2 for the more settled in players who can scrounge it up. Nice balance there imo. |

A cool idea would be reclaiming wrecks. Where you can use the wreck as a resource instead of raw.minerals. That would make sense instead of getting nothing sometimes. |
