You dare question the inquisition's legality? Shurely it has devine power to act on the heretical outcries that where unleashed during our most exalted Emperor!
I fully support the inquisition in this matter and shall endavour and I shall help to execute or capture these heretics whenever I can!

Minmatar, you have no say in this matter. Your pseudointellectual blabber holds no authority, no integrity at all. Your feeble attempts to ridicule the Inquisition and our right to denounce the heretics on trial, will only serve to further show your true character.
That of the Fool.
Have faith Amarr, for we grow stronger by each day. Have faith, for the heretics on trial here will be cleansed from our midst. Have faith, for the champions of Amarr grow ever more numerous and vigilant! ------------------- The Sword of Light

blah blah blah. let me shorten this shirade of a trial and put forward my entire Tribe as GUILTY. now you can stop persecuting inocent bystanders, who happen to be trading in the same system that your fanatical vigil was taking place!
so stop the pathetic ranting and shut down the corrupt inquisition. come forth and try enforce your charges upon us. it won't be as easy as convicting a poor trader, i can tell you that much.

What I cannot understand is that the vigil seems to be held on the public channel of the amarrian system. Then complaints are made when people interrupted them. If they wished to have privacy, then why did they not use a private channel?

hm, to the inquisition... i am able to offer the current location or, if you prefer, the frozen corpse from at least one of your special minmatar friends. for a price. it won't be an easy task, and selling your own brother doesn't make it easier, so make your offer wisely... hard times we are all in... contact me, mail prefered.

Oh Ph0enix we surely shall... your heretical Corporation has already suffered at our hands and now you just ask for more.

Presumably, it was held on a public channel because it was a public event.
I didn't have a problem with interuptions per se, but rather with the blasphemous comments being made by certain Minmatar interlopers. If they wanted to insult the Emperor, why didn't they do that on a private channel where they would cause less offence?

Presumably, if you are intent on insulting someone you intendto cause offence. To do so on a private channel woul rather miss the point.
All I am pointing out is that your rather over zealous brothers seem to have taken offence at every passing trader using the publicchannel to ply thier trade.

Edited by: Rodj Blake on 16/09/2003 14:22:06 I agree that the trader's alledged crime is probably less important than the others in that he was not actively insulting the Emperor.
However, he was persisting in touting his goods after several Amarrian luminaries had requested a minute's silence.
What he was doing was akin to a double-hull salesman selling his wares at a funeral. Would you consider this to be acceptable?
Might I suggest that the trader concerned, and indeed the others accused of blasphemy come onto this forum to defend their actions.
I'm sure that the inquisition will show some leniency if there were extenuating circumstances.

For what its worth, here are my opinions on the five cases:
1) Guilty - the defendent should be let off with a warning.
2) Guilty - the defendent should be exiled from the Empire.
3) Guilty - the defendent should be killed.
4) Guilty - the defendent should be exiled from the Empire.
5) Guilty - the defendent should be warned about his behaviour.
This is all based on the information that has been published here, and my own experiences at the vigil.
Should any more evidence come to light, I will reconsider.

How dare the amarr who hold slaves claim to have holyness. How can one who claim peace claim slaves!
Let Freedom Reign, Let True Peace into the hearts of the offended, Let your slaves free, no man, no women, no child should EVER be enslaved. Your emperor is merely a mortal man, clinging to a power hold he wishes to have. No man is higher then another. The one true ruler is Freedom, and freedom is with-held. Put me on trail if you may, hunt me down if you wish.. But no one Can silence me in this land. The Freedom will reach all those who are enslaved.
Strike my down if you can, but The truth is to be heard from the fringes of space, Put an end to the tyrrany! Your emperor shall stand no longer, your precious empire shall fall. Your Court will hold no power!
Freedom Has spoken!

You would do well to consider that The Emperor is considered by many to be a liberal. If you wish to see the slaves freed, then you should pray with the rest of us for his recovery.

We have seen enough evidence!
It is clear...guilty, guilty and guilty.
Each of the Blasphemers must have their tongues cut out, then sent to the Seven Rings of Hell for purification, and then---and then---if they are lucky, they shall serve as the slaves befitting the dogs they are!

I will be the first to confess that I have no extensive understanding of the faith of Amarr, but I have a thought.
Should not the blasphemers be cherished for what they are: a test on supposedly faithful Amarrians. Is it not so, that the blasphemers are - unwittingly - your best tool in keeping your religion, your people and empire clean of those weak in faith? Those that are swayed by the toungues of the blasphemers will have shown their cards and will be recognized.
Without blasphemers and provokers those weak in faith and spirit will be able to plant a silent rot to eat at the empire from within.
I'd rather have a healthy external enemy than a growing enemy within, any day of the week.
But of course, I must also mention that I feel it highly childish to spoil such an event. And I guess this court simply shows that the children strayed too far from their mother's skirts and father's loving discipline.
