Where are all our tax isk going these days? I have just spent valuable time out on the outskirts mining some much needed minerals, and was assualted by several Gallente ships that appeared to be tring to get at my hard owned cargo. I am outraged that this is happening in our own space! When I got back to station and unloaded my cargo, the revenue collectors were right there with their forms to take their share. This is an outrage! An OUTRAGE I say!

Feel free to build your own outpost, gates, trade and communication system.
Oh, and don't forget the fuel and ammunition for the sentry guns, ships and stations, along with the training for all the staff. And the investors certainly want some cash back too. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

I far as I know, the government will not let me build an outpost where I want. If I could I would. They have control of all space thus, the ISK. Pehaps they could take some of the money for training, guns, and such, and put it into some patrols to protect the hardworking citizens. Why, I can't even mine in my own territory without being harrassed. As a taxpayer, I say they get off their butts and start doing something besides protecting gates! I am contacting my representative right now!

If, when you say "taxes", you refer to the various charges payable at stations for refining your minerals, these are not applied by the State but by the corporation that owns the station. The corporation may pay a standing charge to the State for the right to operate a station in State owned space, but the State does not set the level of charges applied to pod-pilots that use the station's facilities.
Try improving your relationship with the corporation in question and I expect they will lower the charges for you accordingly.

Bah, I have little time to be cocerned with taxes. They are the price you pay for services.
Why are we even discussing this while Caldari Prime is still illegally occupied by the "open-minded" Gallente?! Free Galdari Prime and return it to its rightful owners!
I'll gladly pay fees and taxes as long as I can continue to work towards improving my skills and weaponry.

Erm, I mis-spoke. I meant the Corperations....not the government.

If you don't like the Corp's taxes, leave and go Freelance. No taxes to worry about, other than what the stations assess, and the trade fees. Think of it this way, my enraged compatriot, the Corp's have to make money to rent production facilities, labs, loan money to their own members and so forth. If they are not supporting you that way, find a new Corporation. Simple as that.

No they don't. Plenty of 0.0 space out there for you to build your outpost. If you don't think you are getting enough return for your taxes, the gates are open.

Here is another idea. Learn how to defend yourself and your property or stay in systems that are patrolled by CONCORD. It's not like the security status of each system is not clearly marked on your star charts. ________________

Why just today I was peacefully extracting some ore and along comes 2 Gallente high-jackers. They insistantly assulted my ship for quit some time even though it was obvious they were getting no where. I think it was just to taunt me, showing they had free reign to accost citizens. They were symbolically spitting in CONCORDs face. In the end it wasn't CONCORD but a good samaritan that took care of the scourge. Guess CONCORD was too busy hanging around the mess hall in station or orbiting the gates. Then to top it all off, traveling to the gates is a white knuckle experience trying to avoid all the other traffic rushing the gate as fast as possible to avoid high-jacking.

Hmm, I understand now. You are referring to the various Serpentis and other criminal patrols, not to other pod pilots. They are a nuisance at best, nothing really worth worrying about. ________________
