Those ships are real fun to fly and fight.. not to mention that they are very cheap, so loosing them is not a big deal. A Catalyst fleet vs a Ventures fleet is just awesome, most probably more and more people will join the fun if these events are planned and organized well. And perma WD each other, so there will be no Concord interference nor sec drop. The only problem I see here is the very nature of the miners, they prefer to just float between the rocks and whine if somebody interfere with their mining cycle. Change this attitude and you may write history... New Order already did.
Bring ventures if you want to, battleships were just a theme, but it does say in original post any ships welcome. |

That's all well and good, but are you planning to fund it by mining indefinitely? Surely, you've thought of a way to make it a self-sustained operation? |

Its constantly evolving, I dont want to say give us stuff or pay us, as then we're no better than New Order. If people want to give time thats fantastic, if they want to form coalitions and mine together awesome. I'm not asking for anything but anything given wont be refused for the cause. |

See, that's a major issue. How much ships will you be able to replace? Ten? Twenty? There's only so much you can do like that. If you really want to scale the operation you will need other revenue streams. After all, CODE. is almost entirely funded through investments. If you start up a ship replacement program based entirely on goodwill, you will get crushed. |

My alt in a skiff has 108k ehp to the lowest resistance and it mines properly with battleship scale EHP and it does not need to mine into a jetcan. if you were to mine in their homeland you should either use skiffs or procurers. If you are in a corp together, you can web each other so that you can mine aligned, and then a fleet warp will get everyone out pretty quick. You may need to make a BM downrange of belts to align to if there isn't a handy dandy celestial.
But remember that the people* that you represent are afk or botting scum who can't fit a ship properly and if you are active, fitted properly and avoiding being killed by the code players by paying attention to your surroundings, then fundamentally you are not the thing they care about, whether or not you pay the dummy money (ie its a noble venture to mine in their faces, but making you play properly is a bigger win than extracting 10mil fools geld out of you).

I've had some bad ideas in my time (Like rallying up people to fight off the WarDec bullcrap) but this is on a whole new level. If you don't want to get ganked, don't mine in highsec play Eve Online.
You will hear people say "Go to low/null/w-space" but ganks still happen there, and in some cases, hotdrops for the lulz. This is as nice as I get. Best quote ever https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4137165#post4137165 |

I emailed you the km. But put a bunch of faction and a little smattering of Gistii and also carry around spare T2 strips in your cargo. Works even better when you are AFK and therefore can't actually activate the shield booster you paid top dollar for. I know violence isn't the answer. I got it wrong on purpose. |

The "new order" IS a joke. A while ago a corpmember was ganked by "D400". I tried to kill him but he logged off, stayed docked and so on. Waited a few days, returned, and killed him twice (more than enough killrights on him btw) . Never seen such a coward bunch of peoples like "the new order..." or "the code...". They were 4:1 and scared as f**k. If miners would share killrights, they couldn't even undock. That's your mission imo, show miners how to share (and execute) killrights. |

Kellen Tavadon wrote:For all our brothers and sisters fighting the good fight in New Eden I say hello to you. For too long the so called GÇ£New OrderGÇ¥ and the pathetic GÇ£The New Halaima Code of ConductGÇ¥, have been used to scare and gank innocent players just because they want to mine. Forcing them to pay GÇ£Mining IndulgencesGÇ¥ and ganking them anyway. Every time someone has tried to combat them they fail because they are everywhere and nowhere. They are mostly in NPC Corps flying frigates and destroyers which can be used against mining ships with great effect. This is all about making ganking seem more lawful and legitimate, whilst James 315 and his absurd title of GÇ£Supreme Protector of Halaima and Saviour of HighsecGÇ¥ makes all the isk and keeps it for himself. So what can we do about it? As previously mentioned we canGÇÖt fight them, or threaten them as theyGÇÖre shadows. So our plan is to help those targeted by them, in the very system the code was originally named afterGǪ WeGÇÖre coming to Halaima and weGÇÖre going to MINE!!!!! I invite all of New Eden to come and mine in the heart of the New Orders so called home system. We start in Halaima 9pm EVE Game Time, and keep mining straight on to Kino and beyond. But this invites a swath of ganking if you coming in traditional mining ships, and you may think this is a ploy. So I recommend Mining fit Battleships to ship even miners can adapt and change to an ever changing world. All ships are welcome but Battleminers are preferred. If you want to come watch, run protection just in case I invite you to Halaima tonight. WeGÇÖre going to be streaming it via Twitch as well, details will be added to a forum post and here later on this evening. Join Liber8eve ingame chat channel and Liber8eve Mailing List All proceeds of this operation are going to a fund for replacing ships from New Order Ganks, The fund will be audited of course. If the need arises weGÇÖll be buying T1 mining barge BPOGÇÖs to give free ships to aspiring miners but that will come later in the project. WeGÇÖre not hiding behind Alts all posting characters are going to be main characters. This isnGÇÖt us trying fight them, its us just trying help the people affected by them. You don't need to just be at the keyboard, you need to be paying attention to what is going on in local and on grid too. And not being stupid and having a properly tanked mining vessel that is not blinged out helps a great deal too.
In my experience, the ones that pay attention don't get ganked or rarely, it's the ppl who mine semi-afk in **** fit barges that get shafted over and over again. If they're fine with that, good, if not, then they should change the way they play or simply not play at all :) |
