Just wondered if itpossible to do lvl 2 missions in a brutix with no guns on high slots just using the drones for killing.

The rare cruisers you run into may take a while to kill, but if you use 5 Hammerheads with a decent amount of training in Combat Drone ops and Drone Interfacing, sure.
But jeez, at least fit some small guns or something on that 'tix.

in some level two missions the rats have targeted my drones soly, if your only going to use drones you would get max 10 scout drones or 5 medium drones, so once thier gone no defence-
im runing a brutix just to speed level 2 missions up, and i would not recommend not haveing any guns for any of the missions.

What are you putting in all of your slots then? I guess my question is "Why don't you have a couple of SMALL weapons?"

The Brutix is the BC right?!
You could probably complete the missions just by giving them a stern glare, II's are all the easys.

Sounds like you better get a battleship for those terrifying L2 missions.

A friend does them in an ishkur. He only uses Hobgoblins, but has all the drone skills up decently. They do die if he launches them too soon though. He does use the guns occationally, but just for speed sake.
Anyway, use hammerheads after you get agro-ed and a lot of missions you can do virtualy afk.

doing lvl2s in a brutix or lvl3s in a bs is purely a form of isk/lp per hour play......with the drone skills up, you can easily forget the guns, but the key is fast misson rollover, so bring em with and multitask. also in lvl2s, sit in one place or go to the "habitat", before killing everyone....easier to pick up the loot.
with my paltry setup i can tank most lvl3 missions until my wingman(in a raven)shows up in warp and we kill everything.......im usually a little into armor in the end.
oh yeah, tractor beams are nice too

Just a suggestion, but if you are going to do level 2 missions in a drone boat, use a vexor. It's cheaper, faster, has more cargo, has drone bonuses, and if you fit frigate (or no) weapons, it has plenty of grid/cpu for a decent tank (plenty tank enough for level 2 missions at least). I'd go for:
Hi: whatver, nothing or small rails/blasters depending on what's left)
Med: 3x Cap chargers (or maybe 2x Cap chargers and an AB)
Low: 1x Medium armor rep (T2 or a good named one)
2x Typed Active Hardeners
1x Cap Power Relay (if your cap skills aren't good enough)
OR 1x energized adaptive nano or typed energized hardener
With that setup, and reasonable drone skills, level 2 missions should be a snap, and you shouldn't have any cap problems to speak of.

haha, no you are not misreading. for a short time my wingman is working up a specific lvl3 agent to access his lvl4 brethren.......we more commonly do lvl4 missions with a rax or brutix and his raven....speed is key when you are looking for the isk/lp per hour alternative to mining.
i also happen to be using my brutix to speed standing to get access to lvl3 agents as my skill priorities are currently set for assault ship/covert ops/hac leveling for pvp purposes........yes, shame on me but mission running with friends is better than mining with them and allows us to be moderatly challenged in some lvl4 scenarios........working on teamwork tactics as i have near nil pvp xp.

If you wanted to power mission level 2 agents to get your standings up and access higher level agents, wouldn't it be faster to use an intie or AF?

Its more then possible I use a Thorax use 5 med scout drones medium armor repair and medium energy neutralizer i with no problems!
