Yeah they got me to move to their system as a blue trial recruit and when I told them I couldn't join their fleet channel because they hadn't given me team speak permissions they podded me in response and told me my application had been rejected for "not being on comms". It's hard to tell if they're actually recruiting or if it's just a scam to lure unsuspecting targets to their gate camps. Several of their members came across as being severely autistic so I guess it could have just been that.
Honestly though? Their gate camps were well organized and I was impressed by their ability to catch my pod in empire. I'd actually recommend joining them if you think you can get through their BS and tolerate their personalities. I couldn't. |

I am very interested in joining! I am a new player but willing to get my SP up and anything else I need to do before applying. Please contact me via forums or in-game if you are still recruiting!

As a brand new player to New Eden, I decided very quickly that I would probably enjoy pirating. I wanted to shoot at anyone I felt the whim, I wanted to offer ransoms, I wanted to challenge my skills against other players. I found Basgerin Pirate, and have never once regretted my decision. This is a group of people who are very knowledgable and equally skilled. They are willing to teach those willing to learn, something I have been infinitely grateful for. They didn't require I have X amount of skill points, just a driving thirst to both participate in group activities and fly out on my own.
I wasted no time in seeking them out, and expressing my interest. I'm still a "Hopeful", the trial-period rank. I am here to provide testimonial: we are not elitists, unlike some other groups. The guys are amazing teachers, and unlike some other training corporations don't belittle you for things you simply didn't know. (But if you do something you should have learned not to do by that point in your EVE career, it may become the object of our amusement for a time!)
From the perspective of a new pilot, I'm very happy to have found such a laid back and amazing group of people to fly with. Don't worry about how many skill points you have - just prove you want to take what you can and give nothing back - prove you learn from your mistakes by not making them again. Be active, get in fights, and hone your skills to a razor's edge - then use your newfound sharpness on ANYONE IN NEW EDEN. We don't have blues - we don't give special privledges - we are here to have fun, be active, and actually affect the space we are in without the fuss of political garbage.
IF you have questions, I'll answer them - from the perspective of a brand new EVE player and pirate.
