I would start with the tutorial in game. Finish that and join a player corp like GoonFleet.
A corp will teach you everything.

learning skills boost your attributes, the higher your attributes the less time it takes to learn skills. skills let you use different modules, and fly different ships. When you choose your career path you will need to learn a combination of skills to get where you're going.
