Any way to reduce their cap usage? Or am I missing something obvious.

Isn't there a skill that does this? I know there is an implant but not sure which one.
edit - it seems the mods reduce repair duration. you need to learn the skill to increase cap recharge speed to compensate in that case.

There is the skill to reduce remote armour reppers cap usage, but not reppers themselves.

and even that skill sux
on an guardian wich is specialy made to armor rep i can only run 2
i have the skill at lvl 4
and then its fitted with 2 cap II`s and low full with cap of 15%
its terrible

It can be fitted on the Battlecruisers, both tl1 and tl2 ones.
Works for the gang.
On a Damnation Fleet Command Ship, with lvl 5 in Command Ships skill and all other Armored Warfare related skills maxed, it should give about 31.05% less cap for armor rep but I might have mistaken somewhere.
P.S. Forgot to mention, it also implies an implant worth 500 mil and requiring Cybernetics 5

Meh you usually die with half or so cap if you use injecor on armor tanker.
