Recently high officials in the Federation Navy and the Gallente senate met together to form a new tactical unit to deal with the surge of criminals in Empire space.
"No longer will the lawfull citzenry of the Gallente Empire be harrased by ore theifs and pirates hiding in imposter clone bodies!"
One Gallente senator said with a resounding applause from the rest of the officials. An Admiral of the Federation Navy has placed one of his former Captain's in charge of a tactical unit called Federation Police. The admiral added:
"I'm sure we're all tired of Concord's lack of action against certian criminals. But these guys will follow the scum outside of Empire space, if needed into other Empires as well."
Rumor has it that a meeting involving the new Police force and several other corps will be demonstrating the use of "Campaigns" which will break pirate blocades as well as recruiting new players in Luminaire.

Hmmm...would like to see what direction this takes. I may just have to make a quick stop in Luminaire when I'm out on my rounds today. These can theives are not to be tollerated, and Concord ought to be censured for their current handling of the situation.

It's not theft...... accepting donations from willing miners looking to help others better themselves cannot be considered theft.....

Don't think I don't realize that there are pirates more powerfull than me. I count on it. As such I have plans and will develop strategy, cunning and ploy. If we can choose our fights carefully and according to how much stringth we can muster I think we will do well.

and that's why we got many probs in rl
people whine...hey police sort them out they be stealing my ore.
police officer: we were not present in your asteroid belt at the time, may i see your evidence?
person: i don't need evidence, why don't you take my word for it?
police officer: ever thought about using secure containers? ever thought about mining in lower security systems and working with other people, so that you may police the situation yourself?
person: ummm
c'mon too many people want uber Concord kicking butt for every little thing. Eve is a player's game is it not.
Please let player's take on the role of concord, of course they have to pass an examination first
No to police state Yes to letting us deal with it ourselves

We're planning to set up shop in 0.0 space. Besides we could still serve a perpose in empire space when criminal tags become implemented. Right now most n00bs can't police themselves, which is why corps like this one are being made.

Still, the scope is a bit limited. There are more pirates than sinister. Been marking a few ourselves.

EVE Marshals were created for this purpose. We enforce CONCORD law in 0.0 space when possible, and it will be great to have help in this regard. Not 100% of the people can be helped, but known ore theives or ones witnessed by officers can be brought to justice. As can known Pirates. Justice isnt always swift, but it is assured and when you least expect it.

This is our goal as well with the Federation Police, though we also punish ore theifs too while CONCORD does not.

Edited by: TIvian on 15/09/2003 07:25:12 SKILLZ is right....this is funny. All I hear is "LETS KILL PIRATES!!!" and I see an awful lot of people with the corp description saying "We Kill Pirates!!!" but like the pirates say...they have heard it all. I tried to recruit fighters the other night and no one wanted to do it. SO I would love to see a dedicated "Anti-Pirate Task Force" but the reality of this game is they will run when they see you warp in. they will hold up somewhere. and while you are camping them waiting for them to come out...there will be other pirates podding some where else. Or they will just blow you out of the stars. I personaly don't give a crap weather I get podded or lose my ship....I will take as many as I can with me. I PROMISE I WILL NOT PAY YOUR TOLLS So don't bother asking me. and expect to eat hot rounds. (\_/) (O.o) (> <) Teh Uber Asheron's Call Bunny Booty WTFPWNZ you!! |

I have seen some gates where few frigates and a BS organized and protected the system. All pirates did was warp in and warp out (chicken!!!) since they saw some organized resistance. They prefer camping at non-protected gates since there is as much courage in them as mega in veldspar. ______

While you're in Luminaire why not do something about that sad article ShockandAwe? Does he really expect anyone but a total noob to turn round and fire on him when he locks on to them? I have taken to giving him 1 isk along with an insult each time I pass through.
Why is it that when someone tells you that there are over a billion stars in the universe, you believe them, but if they tell you there is wet paint somewhere, you have to touch it to make sure? |

ah yes, shockandawe. There's little that can be done about him in 1.0 space until 1. His sec rating goes under -5. 2. CCP implements some sort of greifer/theif tag and keeps concord off our backs for attacking him.

Way to go, the largest pirate group in the game is called 'Stain Alliance', they want tolls or you die!
BTW: EVE Marshalls, if you're so serious about your anti-pirate crap (sic), why don't you start war on. SA, FA, VA, NVA?

SA do not require people to pay tolls.
Access to SA is sorted out through diplomatic channels.
Anyone in Stain without the required pass may be required to pay a toll.
It is always the cost of a ship and new clone, however.

Skillz, we go after pirates, griefers, and ore theives. When we catch em they lose their ship, possibly their pod. We do not go after alliances who have "staked" a claim of a area of space. They have been fair in their prices and as in RL if u want to hunt in a area u have to pay for a permit, that is what they do. If you decide to "run" into a system under their control, and they catch you. Then you are by all rights trespassing. And as they make the law for the systems or regions they govern, you are held accountable. As the game box says, you can own a planet, station or even a region of space. Although we do not agree with how some of the alliances behave, we do not have a right to take what they apparently have ownership of. Pirates and griefers sit at gates and charge people and then kill them for fun, they go to areas that are suppose to be safe and kill people who are attempting to make a decent living; those people we bring Justice to.
Also, the name of that griefer who was in Amarr is Shi'aden. We caught her and brought her to Justice.

So basically you are pirates, you're just trying to come up with some RP bullcrap (like CCP does with bugs) to confuse people. Why not be honest about it?

lo Trey, long time no speak.
I find it hard to read this and find u are trying to police tainer theft?.
I remember you in my old corp, i got suspicious of ur action in stacmon, so i travelled up. When i arrived in the system i warped to you in a belt and found u heading to a tainer, then a guy in a frigate shooting at you so i shot back to get him off you. I then found out it was actualy there tainer and not yours which you where heading to and already taken ore from, so they attacked you before you could steal ore from it a 2nd time.
So you basicaly used me to help you steal ore, you infact admitted it in our corp channel when we asked. You then left the corp before being booted.
I admit you where a decent bloke talking to and helping when mining. But i find it hard to believe you are trying to make a policing corp?
War is a game that is played with a smile. If you can't smile, grin. If you can't grin, keep out of the way till you can.
The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.

Masor i have never stolen ore. I have been in disputes before over who's loot was who's because me and another player shot at the npc in question. I have destroyed people's ore because they took my loot and were being *******s in chat and at times firing on me.
Squirrel, the reasons I were asking to team up with you were so that I could gang up with you and pod your ass in 1.0 space cause concord does'nt react to that. You might be smarter than I gave you credit for cause you never took the bait. ah well.
