Friends, Countrymen, Good Posters, Bad Posters, Fellow trolls and ISDs...
Tommorow we go into battle. Tommorow us few will stand up to the onslaught of Patch Day whine threads that will invade our General Discussion. While our numbers may be few, and theirs may be great, we must stand steadfast against this attack on our home.
We must battle with all our hearts to protect our territories against the barbarians who refuse to read Dev blogs and F&I threads, and the tyrants who don't use the Search Function! We must fight to contain the threads who say their launchers don't work anymore and don't see that running the repair tool will fix it, we must resist those who cry out about drone nerfs, and we must push back those who tear up at the mention of the ESS. We must not let them win, we must hold the line at all costs.
ISDs! Be quick on those locks for redundant threads! Fellow GD denizens! Be quick an in before those locks! Jr ISDs! Be quick to point out the correct subforum that thread should have been posted in! Good posters! Ready your hugs, blankets, hot cocoa and Preparation H, and prepare to receive casualties! Bad posters! Just...no. Fellow Trolls! Conserve your ammo! Make every shot count as each one may be your last!
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious. Tomorrow, we few brave soldiers of General Discussion, tomorrow will be our finest hour, tomorrow, we will emerge victorious! Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

for years I was exclusively a ships&modules poster. I originally just came to GD for the threadnoughts. But reading this call to arms stirred some feels deep inside me. There is a time to stand and rebel, and there is a time to jump aboard the steamroller and let it drive you closer so that you may hit people with your sword.
