Here's a thought...
Creating mobile markets by anchoring a can in space by a cargo ship of somesort which is then filled with contracts created by the vendor (limited by what he/she has in tow), accessible only in proximity to the can...
Ideally setting up a 'vendor's stand' in the middle of space so fleets or pirates or whatever can resupply ammo or booster charges, fuel cell blocks, etc...
You fly up to access the can, select what you want and assuming you have the isk or whatever the contract asks for, you can purchase.
With this idea there is no need to dock in a space station...
With portable refitting in space, something like this could be useful... F+¡orghr+í: Gr+í na f+¡rinne D+¬an g+íire...Tiocfaidh +ír l+í |

Would sound better as a mobile structure imo, although I am unsure how effective it would be. If I saw one of those was doing profitable business I'd probably just blow it up for a chance at the goodies and ISK inside. |

My thoughts exactly.
Though I must admit, it's quite nice idea. But needs more to it. It would need to have some more pros and cons, though. Well, I guess it has. You have your own shop in space (don't have to dock and it's mobile), but it can actually get robbed.
Needs more though, in my opinion. |

The idea is similar, I suppose, but more intended for frontierish areas, null and WH space. Get some Eve. Make it yours.

I was thinking frontierish areas, null and WH space also, but not so much as a permanent structure that could be anchored...
The idea behind the contract system was simple, you can't destroy the contract (therefore you don't lose the merchandise; items go into escrow). You can destroy the ship but it really gets you nothing...
Destroy the ship, buy insurance for it...
New frontiers are opening... why shouldn't the marketplace open up as well.... F+¡orghr+í: Gr+í na f+¡rinne D+¬an g+íire...Tiocfaidh +ír l+í |
