Hi All,
Before Downtime today, when doing a mission to collect my loot I would deploy an MTU - let it gather the wrecks and then set my pack of 5 salvage drones loose on the wrecks.
I would launch the drones and click salvage on the drones In space. I would then watch them salvage each wreck in turn. Once they were idle and all the wreck were gone I would send them back to my drone bay.
Now after the patch it appears I have to target each wreck and tell the drones to salvage it. They then have to be told to salvage the next wreck and so on.
Is this change in behaviour intended?
It doesn't match up with the salvage drone description :(

I think there was something in the patch notes about how salvage drones were being changed. Might wanna read through them. |

Did you have any wrecks targeted before you sent the drones off to salvage?
If you have 0 wrecks targeted, they will keep salvaging until no more wrecks are within control range.
If you have n+1 wreck targeted, they will salvage that 1 wreck, then sit around waiting for instructions

Salvage drones can no longer be sent outside the maximum drone control range.
Also
Drones that are set to aggressive will no longer perform automatic actions against a target if those actions would trigger a new Limited Engagement, unless explicitly instructed to engage that target.
Maybe one or both of those is having unforseen impact? You might need to manually order salvage drones for each wreck.

are you within range of the MTU?
you base range is 20km +5km per level of Scout Drone Op and +3km per lvl of Electronic Warfare Drone Interfacing
your max is 60km, mor likely 55km since the last lvl of EWDI is kinda expensive in terms of sp.but you can still can add drone range modules to the highs to add more range if you need it. |

Does that mean that salvage drones have to be set to aggressive? (how do you do that anyways?)

I'm within 5km of ALL the wrecks and drones are set to aggressive
I'm thinking something is broken - I now have to target each and every wreck and send the drones after it.
Doesn't match the description at all - I'll bug report it :( |

it would defeat the point of having an MTU - may as well use tractor beams and salvagers again if you have to target every wreck |

I have the same "problem". Im within range, it's my wreck but I can't use salvage drones unless I target a wreck first and send the drones. Before, I could choose salvgae and they would salvage all wrecks in range. |
