Wow. Didn't see this one comming. Good luck to you all in whatever you do.
A few questions:
(1) I assmue your members will remain in Eve and join other corps?
(2) Will "The 5" continue as an alliance inhabitting the north?
(3) Could you give us a "post-mortem" as to why? ATUK seemed to be in a good position and many of us didn't see this comming.
if script feels like it he will answer all questions but i guess its wait and see for the public.
As for the "reasons" they are not related to eve in any way or form and are internal (hence not up for discussion).

first i thought i wouldnt reply after just saying my thing on the first pages but the smack is strong here and i thought ill try to fireman it down before abdalion has to do it.
despite the other posts i actually have to thank both Darth and WW for their different (and opinion based) replies.
Why thank darth solo ?
For 3 reasons:
1) So much anger, hatred and frustration in your words, we seem to have rubbed you in the right way. Your respect (or lack of) doesnt matter to me at all, and i guess most in atuk share this view because we know we have made an impact on you and got to you. Not the char but the person.
So Thank you.
2) Whenever i doubted Scripts decision about closing doors, going out ontop and all the other stuff he wrote in his initial post. Looking at celestial apoc tells me he is right. I wouldnt want Atuk to become a non-achiever corp which only works from empire and just is a shadow of former glory, while still making threats based on long lost power.
So Thank you again.
3)Last but not least every new and unexperienced player will learn that whenever you make a post there will always be some empire guy (obe is in empire right?) who has a strong opinion about it and needs to smack.
So Thank you for beeing the living example here, may new players learn the ropes.
Now to WW, unlike darth there is only 2 reasons why i want to thank you.
1) For beeing so addicted with Atuk. You admitted to spend you gaming and online time reading old posts, writing lengthy posts and you generally tie your heart to us.
Thank you, im honoured we have such an impact on ppl, it shows despite all the smack we did something right if ppl bother and do the legwork as you called it.
2) For really showing what a person Script is. You flamed him because his bio smacked former enemies. Enemies who became friends in this game, even wingman and m8s. Compare him to Darth Solo who wears his grudge after 2 years, threatens players who leave his enemy corp and is generally full off ill feelings and smack towards ppl he mostly never met- Ingame or on the forums.
Thank you for making the differences between Script and Darth far more obvious then any subjective Atuk driven post could have done.

That has never once been the goal in Celes.
darth has 1 goal for the members...to have fun.
They dont aim to be a superpower and never have.
They dont aim to have 400 members and never have.
They dont aim to conquer a region and never have.
They dont aim to destroy an alliance and never have.
They dont aim to ally as many as they can and never have.
The list can go on.
Atuk is ego personified in this game, good riddance.
dabster ill let you in on a secret, everyone in atuk pays the sub for the very same reason darth pays it. To have fun.
Everything else you named just "came along" on the way to have fun and was never a set goal.
So really take your ill informed smack elsewhere.

I was correcting you.
I was making the point that celest came a long way and in MY opionion (and maybe of other ppl) had its best times in the past. In all honesty wouldnt want to say the same about atuk, so going out with a bang (or ontop) seems smart.
Your goals or if you have fun were not really part of that analysis as im assuming none of you guys would pay if he hated the game or was just "wasting time".
