ok i know i have seen this problem posted before. but i have searched the boards to no avail
last night i loged in to eve but the text was fuzzy. i figured it was the textile alinment so i opened up the window and played with the slider. nothing
every thing from the buttons in station to the tool tip windows are blured heck even the ship status icons (cap sheild and hull and moduals) are blorked. i was doing a little bit of tweeking to my card before this happend. so i set every thing back to default and rebooted same stuff.
any ideas? should i try reinstalling my vid card drivers? im at a loss here

when i turn on antialiasing and ansiotropic filtering it gets everything a glazed fuzzy look similar to what you are talking about. Check your video card settings and make sure you are not forcing applications to use those 2 things. That's fantastic, really, but we need more COW BELL!!!! |

Edited by: Gaijin Lanis on 29/09/2003 18:45:25 Edited by: Gaijin Lanis on 29/09/2003 18:30:57 same problem, messed with every single setting that would logicly have any effect to no avail.
Allow me to elaborate, the effect looks similar to the loss that occurs with texture compression. Now, disabling/enabling texture compression has no effect, neither does dithering, dynamic dithering, any sort of filtering or detail settings... also, EVE seems to resist any sort of change to graphical settings. i've even done the dumbest thing possible, and turned off every setting, (nothing) then turned them back on (nothing) ... bery frustratin ...

Edited by: Gaijin Lanis on 30/09/2003 06:37:21 Weee... ok, Enabling compressed textures seems to be what i did to fix it... this defies logical sense... unless the eve crew designed all their textures to use the loss patterns associated with texture compression... annnyway...

For GeForce cards just make sure you got the latest Detonator drivers installed and select "Best Quality" in the image quality dropdown box and you are set.
