Really CCP, I can't thank you enough. This option will be a great relief to a lot of people with decent PC's that happen to have a mediocre graphics card. I've advocated for this change at every oppurtunity on the forums, I could necro some threads but I figured this change was worthy of a seperate thread.
For those not in-the-know: the clouds you see in various mission pockets and deadspaces are a resource hog for slightly older, or simply mediocre videocards. The clouds themselves have no gameplay impact and merely serve as eyecandy. Turning them off will greatly improve your performance if you happen to have such a card.
So thanks CCP, this change was due and is very much appreciated. |

They even played havoc on my new nVidia 700 series video card. Didn't really matter if you had a weaker graphics card, they put a lot of strain on video cards. Glad you can turn them off, but kinda bummed though it also disables some other effects. Would have been nice to have a separate setting for the particle clouds. |

This isn't a good solution because it disables pretty much all particle effects. Would it really have been that hard to make a seperate setting for those of us who like to run high graphics, but want to disable the godawful resource hogging clouds that look terrible in many places? |

This really needs its own checkbox. Its the only graphical feature I want disabled until it gets updated. |

My GTX 680 hasn't had any trouble with them, but it's still a nice feature. My gripe is that I can't see a dang thing in them since they're so bright! Its like trying to read white text on a white banner in a blizzard. |

Finally! Too bad that this option will disable some other effects ("various explosions and lightning effects" as stated in tooltip) but it's still better than nothing after 2 years of begging. Thanks CCP. -¥ |

Would have liked to see it get its own toggle, but can't look a gift horse in the mouth. Wishing I could turn it off automatically every time I jump to the Hek gate in Nakugard... Welcome to our universe where cooldown timers are a mystery, the PLEX menu is just an advertisement, shrapnel bombs deal explosive force, concussion bombs are somehow kinetically penetrative, and who left all these prototype Inferno modules all over the place? |

Many thanks, to you, and to CCP! Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
